I have a couple of sets of formal number 2 dress available for sale. The first set is the newer FAD style. It comes with the trousers and jacket. The jacket is fitted with Intelligence Corps buttons. The collar dogs can be included if wanted (for those who are unaware, these are the badges that attach to the collar). They come with the green lanyard on the left shoulder. They have a LCpl rank slide on them.

I have two ribbons on them, for Op Herrick and The Jubilee. The medals however are not included as they are one of the few things I plan on keeping from my Army career.

They are to fit size 176/108/100 (Height, Chest, Waist in cm). I am after £40 plus £10 postage for these.

I also have these, an older style set of Number 2 dress. These come with the shirts and braces that you can see.

These also have a LCpl stripe on them. I am after £25 for this set, plus postage (£10). These are a similar size to the ones above.

Both sets can be tailored to fit (obviously to an extent, there are limits). Both can be collected from Bournemouth. I also have some extra shirts and new style barrack dress trousers available. Please send me a message if you are interested in these.

I also have a whole range of various MTP (Multi Terrain Pattern) pouches, all with molle attachment (they basically interweave on to body armour or bags etc). Please ask if you have anything specific, but I will list them all when I can find the list I made!

I have a few other bits as well, all army kit, that I will check out so if there is anything you are after please let me know.

Don't think you can legally sell MTP gear, I have loads I wanted to get rid of last year, but was advised not too.
Got a few pm's about it, and instances where the old Bill had turned up to paint ball places and confiscated it from civvies.

Really? I don't really see how they can enforce that? Was it military or civvies police? The only reason I ask is that the stuff is available from surplus stores and many other suppliers in catalogues. But thanks for the heads up.

Very strange that comment about not selling it. You would think if that was the case you would need to return ALL of your uniform.

Although not Army I have sold countless bits of my RAF uniform plus other stuff I gained over the years. Combat gear, boots , hats etc and no problems. If they don't want it back and there is nothing in your discharge papers to say you cannot sell it then happy days.

And as mentioned most of this can be bought in army surplus stores anyway.

From what I remember, the rules are loosely regarding actual combat gear such as kevlar vests, night vision glasses and scopes etc as these could effectively be used for private criminal activities.

Standard uniforms though are all over the place, and aren't pulled.

Can you get issued MTP at surplus stores now? I know the copy stuff is available.
It has something to do with the attack in Afghan last year, where the insurgents were wearing U.S. camo.
MTP could end up in Afgan on the backs of terrorists. It was for this reason I decided to keep mine. I did check with clothing stores and MTP is supposed to be handed back.
I believe it was civvie bill that confiscated the stuff, pretty sure military police can't touch civvies outside of the wire.

Just seen, MTP has been released for sale since July this year.

I was looking to get rid of mine December last year.
My mistake.

No worries, its better to be sure about stuff like that. You could end up getting done for stupid things otherwise.

Interestingly the clothing didn't really go for that much, even the new stuff. I got two lots issued, one for in camp and one set for tour. The camp stuff was barely used (only 1 set) and it all went cheap. Interestingly, a single ammo pouch for a couple of mags went for £21!! I have about 15-20 pouches left as well.

I sold loads of stuff off. If they didn't ask for it back, its gone. MTP day sack went for 47 quid - and that was to someone in the forces!! I couldn't believe it.

I know certain things you have to hand back in. I would ask what they need and want back (although majority of it gets burnt or disposed of any ways) just to be on the safe side. Didn't someone get done a couple of years ago for selling certain things on Ebay and made like £33k from it all? Plus if you sell anything what you shouldn't, the military police can still arrest you a certain amount of months or year or something after you have left. I remember something my partner who is in the forces mentioned a few months ago about his friend.

Yeah but the offence has to have been committed when you are in the forces or directly relating to something etc.

Yeah I had to de-kit, and they wanted some stuff back. I kept the rest. The webbing and bergen etc they keep and re-issue it. They only have to burn stuff that has been in direct contact with the skin, such as clothing etc...

I still have the MTP back pack and bergen, the new style helmet, mtp gore tex, smocks. ubacs.  Got about 6 sets of trousers and jackets.  Gonna dig it all out.  couple of sleeping bags as well, arctic and lightweight.  loads of pouches off of osprey, which i never even realised i still had.  If i get rid of it all, i may actually have some space in my garage.

Just realised this is a for sale thread.  Sorry.  i just pressed on view new content, and wasn't really thinking.

Don't worry about it! I had to give all my helmets back which was a shame. I ave the MTP GOre Tex to my sister because she's an adult instructor with cadets. The ubacs proved popular but didn't really go for big amours. I sold two pairs of desert shorts for 1p each but the MTP ones went for about 7 quid I think.

Whack it all on eBay. Free up space and extra spends for the mini!
