Its a brand new Heritage one

Now we have everything off Ruby, Its time to move her to the decking area for storage for a while.

There are a few measurements I still need from her so she isn't going anywhere just yet.

 

The Garage is only a few feet from the house so no option to go round

 

Hey Ho over the top she will go

10 mins to move her from front to back

 

Some tidying up in the garage, a few more parts left to wrap up. Then the work starts on Ruby Two

Atleast you have a lovely new shell now though so will be just as good

I did think about it,

I do need to take some measurement from it tho.

New spit made

I wish I'd kept the other one now, but hey ho as with all these things, no room to keep it.

 

This one should fit down the back of the garage when I've done with it.

 

It just needs a coat of paint then I can get it fitted.

There is another length of steam pipe that connects to the one in the picture.

 

 

Then I had to cut a hole out of this brand new shell

Wow that is such a shame after all that work was put in... So did the insurance pay out for a new shell then? or was that your choice?

The insurance just paid out on a value that we agreed on

We also agreed to buy the salvage back

 

The new shell was my son Jacks decision really, I know the other shell can be put back right with some work, but its more work than I want to do right now.

Starting with a new Heritage Shell will give us a really good start with building "Ruby Two" back up. 

 

There are a few issues with the shell,

I'll soon have those sorted.

The Shell is going back to Heritage on Wednesday to have a few issues sorted out.

 

The spit was painted this weekend

 

 

 

 

 

As soon as its back I can get it mounted and crack on with it

What was wrong with the shell?

 

The one's i saw at IMM last year looked quite poor so i'm not surprised.

Ben, I'm not going to go into detail on the forum about whats wrong, Ill drop you a message.

 

BMH Have been very quick to react & arrange to get the shell back so they can have a look at the problems,

 

I tried the Mini on the spit I have made last night, Its slightly different from the first one, I have make this one a little smaller so I can store this one in case I need it again, LoL

 

 

 

 

 

 

I guess its time to get my garage tidied up while she is away at Heritage getting sorted.
