Thanks for all the comments guys
I never started out trying to get the Mini to this level
Attention to detail soon grabs you and you strive to do the best you can.
I think my standards have changed as the build has gone on..

Only a few little updates
Carb was stripped
A mate took it to his Kart workshop and put it in his ultrasonic cleaner
This removed all the gunk that had built up over the years
I ground most of the sharp edges off the inlet / outlet manifold left by casting
Then the manifold & carb were put back on the Mini
One of the other cars I have needed some work for MOT
Ruby had to come out of the garage onto the drive for a while
She only came out because it wasn't raining LOL
Once back in it was on with getting the front half of the wiring loom in place
All wrapped with a fabric tape
Earth lugs all redone & soldered on
Jack re did all of the bullet connectors where it connects to the rear part of the loom
But to be honest we were not that happy with them
So we chopped them off & soldered them in place

Id got a few little bits to paint the other day
Jack asked if I could spray his bike frame at the same time
Obviously he wanted it the same colour as Ruby LOL
He spent the day prepping the bike frame
A quick blast of etch primer then some wet on wet action with the top coat & here you go
Colour coordinated Mini & BMX
Kids eh, things you do for em
Not really a Mini update, but I hope it gives you an idea of what I have to put up with..

Seats and door cards are back from the trimmers
Then we had a go at starting her up
No exhaust, no timing set up, mixture set roughly where we thought it should be
Turned it over a few times with no plugs in 5 seconds at a time to get oil everywhere & pull some fuel through to the carb. after that we put the plugs in but left the coil disconnected and went to 10 seconds of cranking. then we connected the coil, I held the choke on as we have no cable yet.
There she blows.
Jack even had a smile on his face

Now that Jack has tried the seat in
I don't like the look of the seat brackets
A quick think & a small modification later we have this, Just got to do the other 3 now
I think it looks better
Not many will notice.

Right
Now its time to finish off the wiring
God this can be time consuming
Everything works, Jack didn't want the interior light in so we removed that.
We have run audio cables down the drivers side roof and straight into the boot
Boot pin for the alarm also goes down here
Alarm also in, just need to mount proximity sensors under the carpet.
Still no exhaust
It goes on Saturday or Monday to have this made.

Jack fitting bottom dashboard rail
Headlining goes in next,
This is after the first day, just letting it settle
Then Glass
Then onto the carpets
April the 1st, the old trick with a stand out of gaffa tape, Jack said it didn't fool him. he had to change his pants tho
