Yes she does fit into a long wheel base transit

 

She is off to the paint shop

 

 

This will be her new home for a couple of weeks

 

 

 

 

Garage seems very empty now

Not for long

 

Sorting out a problem with the gearbox jumping out of 2nd

 

Replacing the 1st / 2ng gear selector fork

 

 

Also found a broken 3rd Motion shaft bearing, so a few bearings ordered.

 

 

Had a day out on Saturday,

Called in at Force Racing and Jack ordered a set of new wheels to be built.

 

Also popped over to Mini Sport for a few bits.

 

165 60 12 on the left                                    165 70 10 on the right

The 10" is not mounted on a wheel tho

 

 

Onwards & Upwards

 

Is London to Brighton doable?

Selector fork & bearings replaced

New gaskets

Bushes replaced on output shafts (Thanks Guessworks)

Not really James,

I watched a few videos, Guessworks have done a series of how to put it all back together.

 

There is a MiniMania one that I watched a few times.

I’ve tried to stop positive about what happened and used this opportunity to fix a few niggles that were on the original Mini 

Jack has spent a lot more money on upgrading some of the parts.

Boot has been dropped off from the paintshop

 

 

Then he sends me a few of this.

 

 

 

He went in on Bank Holiday Monday to get it painted while there were no distractions.

I left my camera with the body shop to take a few pics

 

 

But then again that's probably how he paints all his cars.

 

 

Now I'm making a list of what order things need to be done to get her back together
