i built a hatchback a few years ago, i got it mot'd but sold it before i painted it.

you will have to excuse the state of my garage in the pics. the tailgate opened and closed really nicely, and i spent hours getting it to gap up right. i wish i had the time to paint it and trim the inside, but castle combe was getting closer and i needed to sell this to get all the bits for my other mini to get it track ready in time.

Looks like you did a fabulous job on that hatchback what did you do for hinges and a lock? Cheers Dan

i did it like a hatchback as i wanted to do a modern take on a radford type thing.

 

i think i made the hinges, or they were something that wee kicking around in the garage, i cant remember now. but the lock was just the original one moved to the very bottom where it latched against the bottom panel.

Bet that took a while to get the channel round the hatch just right - did you cut it from other shells ?

 

I love looking at these kind of projects that are really modified

 

not just big exhaust , arches & 18 inch wheels
