been thinking about a complete separation between cabin and load bay

what you think guys too much? impeding on leg room and making it feel cramped

Dan

I wouldn't mate. I love pickups but having the panel inplace means its quite difficult for me to get a comfy driving position. plus if you put in collapsible/folding seats (60s job, cant remember what they're called. I'll get back to you on that...) you can use the passenger area as additional load space.

Pretty cool idea
if you were to fabricate a fuel tank could you use the spare wheel hole.

i was planning on removing the whole rear floor and replacing with a new smooth floor so therefore having to put the tand underthe floor

and thinking about it ryan i wont put in a bulkhead as like you said will be cramped and uncomfortable and i got my pickup for that

and those seats look great and more load space haha

Phoned DVLA yesterday about an engine swap which would involve some shell changes & asked if I'd need an IVA as would be scoring well under 8 points & was told if the vehicle is over 10 years old an IVA is not required, you just send the logbook off with changes & they'll update it. Not sure if this would apply here but might be worth giving them a ring? I was pretty surprised!

cheers for the info though handy for future projects

thanks for that was a great help can see how they mounted there hinges now and got some ideas

but im hoping to replicate it all from steel rather than fibreglass give it a sturdier feeling and stronger in the event of a crash as would only be the floor supporting the in a rear end crash

well yes I will be using the rear screen panel and fitting this as per normal mini pickup and then fitting a new rear of a pickup but cutting it to fit in the confines of the hornet rearseat and boot area....well thats the plans.......

wouldnt you be better off putting a hornet front onto a pickup as would be easier to reverse and wont wreck a hornet shell but from what your saying sounds like its going to be mint

wow that looks neat but the load bed for  a pickup isnt cheap (or they werent when i priced it up for my pickup) so wouldnt it be easier and cheaper to swage a larger sheet and then you can make it to the correct size then
