Looks like a very good size for the job : )

I am really after that real proper 70's look. so I'm thinking of cutting the rear fenders of vertical at the rear quarter/rear valance seem :) - but i can't figure out if it would look stupid.

thats it for now :)

Do yourself a big favour and get rid of that pressure switch in the brake lines and modify the pedal box to fit a regular electrical brake switch. Those pressure switches are absolutely s**t - I fitted 3 of them in my daughter's '76 Mini 1000 and each one lasted about a month before it stopped working and then you have to bleed the brakes to change it >:(

The last time I followed her for 20 miles I didn't see her brake lights come on once! The only way to get them on was do stand on the brakes and I'm surprised nobody ran into the back of her.

Paul.

I understand your desire for originality but you've already put on fat wheels, wheel arches and a roll cage!!!!

Some modifications just make sense for safety reasons. The last thing you want after all this time and money is somebody running into the back of you because your brake lights don't work!! You can't see the modification unless you get down on your knees in the footwell.

Paul.

Hi paul.

Yes i understand ofcouse. - and ill think about a solution, if i can't find a NOS pressure switch. :)

and regarding originality, i wanted the body work to be as original.

but I'm not building an original car, I'm going for a period correct car. and i know that the wheels isn't period correct, but eventually ill put on magnesium 6" minilights on. - the big fat arches is also period correct, they was used in the early 70's on Cooper Car Company and Britax Coopers :)

Kind regards :)

Hi how's the car going.

Hi NZmini.

the car is coming along slowly. - finaly managed to find a painter that took me seriously. - so that resulted in that i just got the shell back from paint, an got corrected some issuses that i could not live with.

so now im satisfied with the paint ( well mostly) so the rebuild begins now ! very excited indeed :)

but i nearly lost all interest on this project, because of this two year period with the first painter who F***'d up and cracked my doors and made a few dents in the shell. -and therefor no updates in here.

but if Theres still interest in my bulid, then i will try to keep this post updated again. :)

Kind regards :)

Keep at it,  will be worth it when its finished

Mine has dragged on as I couldn't find someone to paint it for a realistic price.

Hope to have painting finished by Christmas.
