I've just been awarded full funding for my PhD and have three months until it starts. I also owe my parents over £3k and haven't touched the poor mini for over a year. This breaks my heart but I'm going to have to sell him as we have no garage and he won't survive outside for 3.5 years while I study! Here's the details:

Bought in August 2010 for £1300 with some MOT and tax.

New bootlid, seal, handle, hinges (Sep 2010)

All welding done from bulkhead back by Shifty - great job of course! (Dec 2011)

New door and window seals, fuel relay box and brake adjuster (Jan 2012)

New steering gaiter, track rod ends, ball joints, rear brake shoes, windscreen washer pump (Feb 2012)

New sparks, ign leads, dist cap, rotory arm, oil, filter, air filter, fan belt, subframe bushes and head gasket (Feb 2012)
New bonnet release cable, new spare minilite alloy, new belt (Apr 2012)
New suspension all round (standard cones and shocks), exhaust (manifold back) with all gaskets, bolts and bushes (July 2012)
New rear subframe, fitting kit, all studs and nuts, tie rod bushes (July 2012)
Diff refurbed with upgraded diff pin, checked gearbox and fitted new seals and gaskets, new engine mounts, new bushes all round up front, new bearings, even new wheel studs and nuts (August 2012)
Car taken off the road in August 2012 for gearbox work, still on SORN.

Along with the above I have replaced many smaller parts - anything I found that needed doing was done as soon as I could afford it.

I haven't had a chance to check over the engine since it was removed last year, therefore I haven't tried to start it yet. It was running very sweetly before (and I kept it well maintained). I have changed everything that wasn't perfect and checked all the wiring. It should start and run perfectly but I can't confirm that yet!

Here are the current known problems:

Front end including panel under windscreen has bad rust, it has made it through previous MOTs as it's not structural but it really needs to be chopped off and replaced

The paintwork and interior are a little tatty in places (rip on drivers bolster for example)

Other than that, assuming the engine runs as it should when I get a chance to look at it - everything works as it should!

Please can someone tell me what he might be worth:

a) Assuming the engine is as sweet as it was

b) Assuming I can't get the engine running (worst case scenario!)

Here are some pictures (or look in my thread):
