ketchup is also good for rust, forgot abuot that untill i read abuot brown sauce lol.

Ooooh and....

Of you have rusty smallish pieces, then fill a bucket up with "Coca-cola" and dump them in the bucket, leave for a few hours/days, and all will be shiny as new when you emove them!
One bloke did an old bicycle with this lol

Ash...I kid you not, Ash, as in from burnt wood...Ash. 'Tis an old mechanics trick that my dad taught me who he learnt from a guy who knows cars better than most people here (not just sayin that). Works better on old chrome, but what's the worst that can happen - it doesn't work and you try sommat else, that's what. Just trust me on this one

I think using al these varieties of "brown" and "tomato" sauce maybe a bad idea.

Ever had a look how much salt is actually in tomato sauce?

I was wondering the same thing yesterday. I washed Monty, then polished the paintwork, buffed the wheel arches etc and then wondered what was the best for the chrome bumpers.

Whats best for polishing, when I've put the Mer on and left it for 10 minutes or more (as per instructions) I start polishing but to be honest sometimes its too much hard work. Is it work investing in one of these cordless polishers that are offered at Halfords and Machine Mart?

I've got John Cooper polish. :D ;D Got it with my old mini so i dont know where it is fom, but its really good . Used to polish Molly all over, and used to look amazing! With Monty yesterday i didnt polish it all, just certain bits still looked really good!
