Cleaning up chrome, whats the best product to use?

whats the best product for cleaning up a set of chrome bumpers? they have light surface rust and a few light scratches

well ion my bumpers that had the odd spot of rust i used a bit of wet and dry and some water and they came up well.

Then just a nice bit or polishing with car wax i reckon.

autosol, or auto glym metal polish, both the same really.

Agreed...!!
Autosol, is better I think, but G3 cutting compound and a buffer does an excellent job for scratches etc, just got to make sure the chrome is a decent quality before compounding it though. This chrome could rub through

A nice cloth with some brasso, worked wonders on my 2nd hand filler cap (how cheap am i) lol

I've used the Autoglym metal polish and Autosol and found Autosol to be better

lol auto sol is wicked, just thought i should point out what it says on the back of the packet tho, something like; do not use for chrome/shiny surfaces!!

one you have the rust off, baby oil, works wonders and comes up very shiny.

to polish chrome, good old wd40 works great plus it leaves a protective layer over the chrome

80 grit sandpaper on an angle grinder attachment, then a can of Chafords chrome spray!










(that is a joke! use autosol!)
