Rust?! Cheeky beggar, not it didn't have rust. Or stickers... Or anything really distinctive :(

Was pretty much like the once you found but the drawer layout was different, 5 deep'ish full width drawers.

Sorry! Just my tool box what's rusty...aka my mini

my tool box was rusty. If there is anything you need Dave  if you have a complete bugger with the insurance company then we could organise a tool drive or something and do a TMF Tool run :-)

Sounds all kinds of wrong, that. Everyone wants to let me get my hands on their tools O_O

Thanks for the offer, dude. People are being so, so kind. Hopefully I'll get a quick reply from the insurers and can at least know where I stand.

A month on and the insurance have just got back to me, they're replacing the tools (yay) but unfortunately the claim limit is "slightly" lower than initially proposed.

Meaning today I'll mostly be trying to trim about £1k of stuff off inventory of stolen items. O_O

On a desperately attempted funny side, they were apparently unable to locate a 10kg welding gas bottle... :mmkay:

But staying positive, it seems that an end (albeit a slightly more economical and less satisfying one) is near in sight.

Thank you all once again for your support and well wishes, a month of eBay scouring hasn't turned anything up so I can only assume the tools were boot-fared away or being used - if it's the latter I hope they get tetanus!

Nearly Xmas, 'eh.

Thanks chaps.

Cheers, Cliff.

Latest news is that the company dealing with the replacement who only use one supplier it seems, can't source a 50L 3hp 14cfm compressor or sockets, ratchet spanners or torque wrenches with lifetime guarantee (a la Halfords pro) so instead are sending the cheque instead.

Frustrating that they couldn't do that weeks ago but resolution at least.

On the positive, got 2 of the 4 locks on the garage door this weekend - that sh*t isn't moving short of the ram-raid or cutting equipment now!

And I have a plan for a new layout to the garage, so all things considered I might even do some work before the new year. ;D

Ahh but I have only mentioned the obvious, you can see the multiple keyholes on the door anyway.
The more electronic security is remaining a mystery ;-)

I have one of them defender things, kindly donated to me.

In addition to a bunch of these fella's http://www.lockshop-...door-bolts.html

Should keep all by the most determined from opening it.

You can go on a tool shopping spree now then, eh?

I know you would've rather have had your own tools back as I know my tools have more of a sentimental value than anything to me, having been in my family for years.

Can't go wrong with extra security, just make sure it's you, and only you who knows how to access it!

Yeah... I'm fairly sure I remember how to get in without tripping anything >_<

It does mean I can go shopping soon, while I'll just have to bare the burden of having a complete set of fresh tools it does mean that I can buy the sets I will use as opposed to the amassed collective, so less doubles of things that came in 2 or 3 different sets etc.

That and it gives me a good opportunity to make the working environment a little more  functional, rather than everything stacked on top of each other. Maybe even fit some air line points so I don't have to dive under the desk each time

Now that you don't need the welder I would like to put this up for offers.

The proceeds (100%) will be donated to Clic Sargent child cancer care charity from the both of us. (if you are ok with that?)

Barely used. Honestly! Done one plate to see if it worked ok and then got my original welder back that was stolen.

Same as this but covered in dust now.

That's cool, dude. Crazy enough, that's actually the welder I had!  Makes really nice welds too.

Sounds a great idea to raise some charity money, I'm still waiting on the insurance cheque to arrive.

Doo eeeet! :highfive:
