Hi all,

I've had a look round and I'm struggling to find if there is a local mini club or meet that I can get to and meet other mini owners.  There are some old threads on here but nothing recent.  If there are any north west based meets I'd love to come down once I've collected my car.  I've got lots to learn and it seems like a great way to get going :)

Cheers

Hello again,
I am sure there are some fairly local clubs to Liverpool. Geographicaly Crewes Missiles are not that far away although i have not seen a thread from them for a while.
I think there is a club in the Preston area but failing that why not join a local Classic Car Club as they are just as interested in the classic mini as they are with any classic vehicle and you will often be offered advise / help with your mini.
There is a Mini club in Kendal who are very active and can be contacted via facebook.

Thanks Mingy :)

I'll widen my search!!  The hubby has a few VWs and there seem to be loads of clubs and meets for them.  I was surprised I couldn't easily find something similar for the mini.  There are a few classic car clubs though and I've got a fair few friends who will be more than happy to come and help tinker as long as there is tea, coffee or a post tinkering beer on offer!  Kendal would be interesting.  Not too far really and a lovely place to go for a drive :)

Cheers

I'm in Liverpool, but am hopeless at attending club meets and the likes.  Local to Liverpool you have a few clubs, the ones I know of are below.

Wirral Minis - Meet monthly in a pub by Cheshire Oaks & organise the annual Wirral to Llandudno run.

Mini Addicts - Think they meet monthly in a pub in Queensferry.

Mini Mad Merseyside - Monthly meets in Scarisbrick I think.  Organisers of the annual Lakeland tour.

If you're interested in a general car club there's North West Casual Classics that caters for all classic cars and meet monthly in Warrington.

i've just started a local club staffs moorlands classics with classic owners all over the place

Ah yes forgot about North West Mini Club, they meet in a pub up Blackburn way & have a forum. There is also FABMOC who are based in Yorkshire, but have a North Wales branch.
