Small update:
Basically waiting on some parts to complete the rear bulkhead, throttle pedal, carbon dash and door cards. Once i have all these things (within the next week hopefully) I can fit them and do some other little fiddly bits around the car. Then im taking the car up north to zcars to have it finished off. Wiring isn't my thing, so thats where the pro's will come into play and actually make the car run/move. Soooo who knows, the car could be done towards the end of this year!

PROJECT COMPLETE! (or there abouts)
Before i get started, there are obviously lots more photos and videos to come after this point. The story has only just begun!
The car came back today after having the final stages completed by the professionals at zcars. I have yet to fit the carbon arches and door cards, as well as the rear perspex windows but other than that the car is complete. It runs, drives, sounds and stops like I had imagined - absolutely nuts. Was a dream to do this project since I learnt to drive and boy am I glad I went for it! A dream come true as they say...
Many thanks to friends, the people on this forum and the boys at zcars.. cheers!
For those of you on facebook, you will have seen my updates but for anyone else that is interested here are some photos and a link to the minis first outing.

yeah i can actually reach all the buttons without too much of a strain. Was slightly concerned about that but no, it has turned out ok! I wanted the switches on the race tunnel but that would cost a fair bit more in labour for the wiring to be adapted...
Have just decided to get a new smaller flat bottom steering wheel. Current one is 32cm diameter, the one I have ordered is 26cm..
ADVICE NEEDED! - anyone clued up with how I can silence this animal to under 105db? I have seen some quick fixes on demon tweeks and ebay but other than that...?
cheers

Glad to hear you can reach them OK....
What is the current DB at 3/4 of max revs, remember to take the reading at 45degs from the exhaust and 1m away?? I'd get that checked before deciding how extreme you need to go with the extra silencing. A simple phone app might get you a ball park.
Virtually everything you can get aftermarket that kills db's is restrictive (unless its an absorption silencer like the one you've currently got), so its gonna be a trade off between noise and power.
Have you asked any of the other Busa users if they needed extra silencing for 105db days?? You might want to consider 98db days as it seems like everywhere is getting stricter on noise pollution....

You could always fit a standard Busa end can for track days, they are quiet.......

Have learnt so much by doing this project. Having not done anything like this before in the past I will definitely be able to make good use of some hard lessons learnt on the next project I do. Im not 100% sure what the future holds for minibusa... I'd love to keep the car and take it on various track days and to some shows but if someone out there is interested enough I am always open to offers. For now, im not going to advertise the car because its not officially 'for sale' purely because I dont want to sell it!! But at the same time, if the right offer comes my way then id be silly to let the offer go.
Some updated photos! Did anyone come to the mini fair?!
