Hi guys,
Ive thought about sticking some 12x5 wellers on my metro, but ive heard the offset is all wrong and causes the tyres to scrub? Is this really a problem or just hearsay?
Cheers,
Rob

Lewis will be here shortly, I would say you'd need spacers for the front to clear the calipers and it should be fine with some decent tyres

Thanks Craig for the intro lol

You can fit 12x5 wellers without problem, just be careful of the offset as metros use different offset than minis, the wheels tend to sit further in on a metro, but they should be fine. The only thing to watch out for clearance wise is the metal lugs on the front hubs

Does work with wellers but you can only go backwards and forwards

These are temp for mine to sit on whilst i re-furb the original steels and the fronts cach the most forward part of the arch, id say you'd have no issues if you did abit of hammering or raising of the hydro units as its not too much scrub

Rob, how do you plan to make them fit since I believe your car is a Rover Metro? the PCD will be 95.25 as opposed to the Mini Weller PCD of 95.25?

Sorry to bring back an old thread, but what is the standard offset of a metro then? So i can keep my eyes open for a particular kind of mini wheel.

Any suggestions on what fits and looks best?

Don't quote me on that being correct as it confused me a little as to wheather its mini or metro Offset, will the metro steelies have it on the band of the rim ? as i,ve got some without tyres in the garage i could have a ganders at for markings if you like, just to confirm

Hahaha that makes two of us then  , theres no other markings on them apart from a Dunlop logo so that only leaves the trusty Haynes manual to shed some light on this ....
