nothing wrong with the shell its just that with the rush that we got on to get it in paint enough time wasnt spent on certain areas of the prep before painting. which once it was painted show up lot more and are really bugging me and my dad so they are going to get re done then resprayed hopefully some point next week.

short update again.

still waiting for the new starter ring. flywheels been lightened and balanced. if no joy by th weekend were going to strip the
flywheel and starter ring out of another engine so we can run the gt engine up on the rig and check for any oil/water leaks.

hopefull the gt is getting picked up tomorrow to go back down the paint shop. in the mean time we have been scouring our
sheds and workshop for items like servo nd pedal box seat mounting brackets and fuel and brake lines.

managed to turn up some decent front to back brake and fuel lines so these have been painted.

we have also started to build up the front subframe.

small update.

whilst the gt is back in the body shop we are cleaning and priming bits and bobs ready for painting.

20140419_131503_zpsa9004336.jpg

once they have been degreased we sprayed them with high build primer.

20140419_160957_zps4f3e2b6a.jpg

tomorrow we are going to wet sand them to bring them up nice and smooth then paint them 2 pac
black and steel wheel on the brake servo.

I ended up painting the pedal box with rattle cans as it was in good nick so just flatted it off and sprayed it.

20140419_122604_zpsa0cad42e.jpg

next we cleaned up a pair of radius arms and painted them with acid etch primer.

20140419_162953_zps47b839f7.jpg

lastly the radiator cowling was cleaned up. when id stripped the paint i realised that it was aliminium so
decided to polish it up. started of by removing the paint, then started sanding from 600 through to 1000 then buffed
them up on the polishing wheel.

it started out like this

20140419_161039_zps57c93a32.jpg

and ended up like this.

20140419_162832_zps41ff401d.jpg

20140419_162815_zps5a85f1eb.jpg

20140419_170931_zps648613ce.jpg

then painted the inside of the cowl gloss black.

thats it for today. hope for more tomorrow.
