Looks amazing! Love that colour, my first Raleigh Chopper was a similar colour (I think Raleigh call it Space Blue)

- with Orange graphics - like this one.

Yours would look very cool with the 1275GT stripes in orange I reckon ;)

(Memo to self : must get round to joining BHMC officially!)

looks like your making light work of this mate!

can i just ask though, why did you not just change the roof skin rather than a full pillar chop?

great work though! :D

replacing the roof skin is quite an long and tedious job to do. it was easier to do a roof swap through the pillars.

update.

Got the door glass fitted last night and chrome finishing strip.

I then refurbed the rear lights and light lenses, I found a desecent pair of lights but the wires had been chopped about.
So I bent all the tabs around the bulb holders and swapped them out for some that havent been chopped about.

I then dug out the best light lenses i could find and a kind member from the club im in dishwashed them for me.

20131010_184651_zps916e244c.jpg

Then to finish them off rubbed autosol over them and gave then a light buff on the wheel, being careful to keep
moving and not let the heat build up too much as this will cause them to melt.

hi. been a while since ive updated anything.been really busy with work and stuff, havent had much time to do any thing!
not so much of an update just  little project me and the old man have been working on the last couple of nights.

for a while weve been wanting to have a test rig to run engines up before going in the car to check for oil leaks and other things.

little update.

yesterday started t get the gt engine ready to be run up on our test rig. we had sent the head off to have hardened valves
seats put in. refaced and reprofiled valves with phospher bronze valve guides and a light skim off the head face.
so ive put the head and new gasket on and tourqed the head down. just waiting for the new starter ring to be delivered and
we can put the engine in our test rig, run it up and check for oil leaks.

20140411_175053_zps6ee22ba7.jpg

we also got the front and rear subframes back from sand blasting and sprayed them with 2 pac black.

thats it for now as we are in the process of stripping the car back to bare shell to take it back to the body shop
to sort a few areas we arent happy with.
