Over the weekend we fitted the GT up with temporay front and rear screens side windows and rear lights.
the reason thy are only temp is just to get it water tight so it can be left outside.

Today my dad got on with painting the insides of the boot lid and bonnet. The bonnet was carefully masked
off and the flat panel parts were first sprayed with stone chip to act as sound deadening.

The boot lid, bonnet and doors are off to the bodyshop tomorrow to have the top coat done. More to follow.

My jaw dropped when I saw the first page with the roof chopped off! Looks fantastic though another 1275 GT back on the road soon!

i had to do the same on my blaze gt had a sunroof but mine had bit rot on the gutter so got another roof clip off here all done now but got alot work to do till i get to your stage

Your actually kidding me!!! was all that done in real time as in you started in August and finished bodywork / paint the end of September.
If it was I feel like ground man about to cry!

yes it acctually is in real time all the closing panels are getting painted this afternoon. then hung and bult up on the weekend and sadly thats it for a while.

looks like your making light work of this mate!
can i just ask though, why did you not just change the roof skin rather than a full pillar chop?

I remember painting a push-bike in Denim Blue when I was a kid, then hand-lining the lugs in white for my sins !!
It's a lovely colour and looks very good on your car, if I remember correctly it was available on some of the very last GT's circa 78-80.
