Yes it's reusable and if it dries out too much you can add a drop of water. I will see how long a tub lasts.

Managed to get a bit more done today but now have been called in for some overtime tonight and tomorrow so nowhere as much down as i hoped.

On with the drivers door

IMG_2602_zpsd15de9a4.jpg

and the crusty bits

IMG_2607_zps71795bbd.jpg

IMG_2604_zpsc569bd5d.jpg

IMG_2603_zpsa1c35b8e.jpg

IMG_2606_zps34986263.jpg

So a spot of fabrication was needed for the window frame especially the curved section

IMG_2605_zpsdaa9a7e2.jpg

IMG_2610_zps715ac62c.jpg

so after it was welded together i ended up with this repair piece

IMG_2611_zps206abbae.jpg

this was then used to supply the repair piece i needed for the front

IMG_2612_zps219ade8f.jpg

The front got the same treatment but no pictures. Then the bottom section got a dose of angle grinder and ended up like this

Looking good mate

Did you grind the edges of the door skin to remove it ? And is the skin and door bottom genuine or pattern ?

Got this to do on the lads doors he's got a magnum skin not looking forward to fitting that !!

Yep ground the edges of the skin then popped the spot welds that attached the skin to the frame.

The repair section on the bottom is pattern but the skin is Heritage. To be honest i have not many issues with the doors i reskin for sale and they are all Magnum skins.

Some more work on the door and skin today

New flanges all welded in place

IMG_2629_zps1ef839c7.jpg

IMG_2630_zps4c05b80b.jpg

IMG_2631_zpsd601ccf3.jpg

Apart from the flanges the door frame is in very good condition, only one small section of hidden rust but that got the treatment

cb833f60-a1cb-4a56-b46a-7408031cdd6f_zps

And the door skinned and fitted in place

IMG_2639_zpse91f1d69.jpg

The gaps at the back of the door are very good apart from one small area but that will be sorted tomorrow

IMG_2640_zpsfbd99487.jpg

The bottom is a different story and one for another day. I'm waiting on my new door steps that i have got an order in for being made to see how well they come out. They have to be better than the horrid Magnum step that i fitted and modified. If not then i will add some metal to the bottom of the door as well.

Finished the rear section of the skin and pleased with it

IMG_2641_zps18ca7248.jpg

IMG_2642_zps2b264e69.jpg

IMG_2643_zps0de1e129.jpg

Then it was onto the rear l/h quarter

IMG_2645_zps86df8b97.jpg

This was replaced by a bodyshop at some point and lets say nearly 50% of the spot welds had not taken at all. Oh and the rust on the arch lip will need to be sorted

IMG_2646_zps22922abc.jpg

IMG_2647_zps4aace381.jpg

And this is my mates roof decal on his mini

IMG_2650_zps2ee179dc.jpg

Also said bodyshop applied filler over paint and guess what it peeled off
