If I had no choice but to buy a Vauxhall, it would be an old Cavalier turbo 4*4. C20LET.

how come the clear bonnets from sticky fingers are show ones only?

the perspex (or what ever he uses) will be thermoformed, so placing over the top of a nice warm engine, given time will distort/discolour the bonnet

One reason I like my Vectra is that it looks like an unassuming rep mobile. The police leave me alone.
The eibach springs and bilstein shocks underneath though means it does not drive like an unassuming rep mobile. Its still comfortable but is a vast improvement over the standard suspension set up. Next on my list is a thicker rear anti roll bar for it. I could have it chipped as well and it would outperform a corsa VXR and get even better mpg out of it.
Best thing though is that as I have the pre facelift model I have the stronger F40 box and not the the M32 gearbox that the later ones do and the VXR corsa has.

Why do answering machines 'Thank you for caling,' after you've put the phone down?

Earlier I was thinking to myself, where the hell is the road to join the M6 toll north bound? I see signs for it all the time when heading south but not north. Ended up driving home on the normal m6 which meant I got slowed down to about 40mph on the motorway.
Before anyone asks why would I use the M6 toll. Work pays for it (thanks Stan) and it is quicker than the normal M6. I don't personally think the time saving is worth the £5.50 though so wouldn't pay for it myself.
I did just think. How funny would it be to sticker bomb my dad's hard helmet? Cover it in something like hello kitty stickers? He has to wear it at work so there would be no avoiding it. I can't completely cover it as the colour needs to be seen so they can identify him on site but I could probably get away with sticking a fair few on it.

It's up the M42.
I hate how satnavs try drag you up the toll and bing in your face when you know that you can take an alternative route, then takes ages to recalculate

Sometimes when I hit recalculate on my SatNav when driving, the little car on the screen starts spinning randomly around while it waits for the satellite. Maybe I should copy that and do a few donuts till it sorts itself out. It's telling me to and we must obey the SatNav!

I had a problem with sat nav when leaving Portsmouth once. I was heading in the right direction (signs pointed to A3 London and the sat nav kept saying 'please make a u-turn when possible' It kept repeating it so against my better judgement i turned round, got 200 yards back in the other direction before it started telling me to make a u-turn again.
Ended up turning the thing off and following my nose. I think people rely on them too much. Its amazing how many places i have gone using one and take no notice of where i am actually going so i never end up learning the route and so end up needing sat nav everytime i make that journey.
I just use a map now if i'm going somewhere new. Much prefer it

I drove over my last satnav. It kept getting me badly lost so by driving over it, it forced me to buy a new one... which I have never got round to doing. My phone and a map seam to do a better job.
I was driving on the M42 yesterday but didn't see any signs for the M6 toll, just the normal M6

Its up near Tamworth way. I always used to forget till I was driving up to a festival at Catton Park, it tried sending me via the M6, nay! up the A5 instead.
I agree people rely on shat-navs too much. I do much prefer knowing the route, Im luckily rather good at directions at least. Often once I had done the route once, ill remember where to go (unless its some complex route, I'd still get lost in london)
I remember the times where you used to have to print off directions from the AA route finder, it took forever on dial-up to load, then took ages on crappy old printers.
