I know people will hate me for saying this

Yes they will, so don't be surprised if you get a lot of negative responses. If you don't care about the suffering of a living thing then that's up to you but it would be better to keep such thoughts to your self.

Wow, this thread really took a dark turn with that post. I've been watching a lot of Dexter and that's psychopath territory... :-|

why do people spin their tyres until they smoke

or hold their engines on the rev limiter

both shorten the life time of the engine / transmission / tyres ?

am I missing something ?

& it stinks

To impress their mates apparently.

Another one that gets me is when you get the kids on the 50cc mopeds or actually even worse cross bikes sitting at the traffic lights gunning the engine.

I have seen quite a few that hold them at high revs and then as they pull away, the revs die right down to nothing and they pull away really slowly like a muppet

My daily driver is an auto but it has the semi-auto mode on it which I've only played with once and got so thrown by the lack of clutch/having to tap the gearstick instead of actually moving it etc that I ended up making a lot of noise and stink. Purely by accident O_O. Not doing that again.

I used to drive alot of the tiptronic Vauxhalls at my old work. I found them quite a laugh. I remember taking a Meriva to broadstairs in tiptronic mode. You floor it in gear 1 and then when you are just about to run out of revs, knock the lever forward to go up to 2nd and so on changing gear at 5-6000rpm without using a manual clutch.  :shades:

I have had automatic cars in the past but wouldn't choose another now unless it was a great barge that you just waft along in

Who in fact did let the dog's out?

According to the news report below, Jason Dyre, Daniel Vere, and Dean Rostock. Well they let a few of them out.

http://www.dailymail...rlier-year.html

I know people will hate me for saying this but I couldn't care less if a dogs home was set on fire or not. I hate dogs. I wouldn't go as far as setting a dogs home on fire but I can think of much better causes that the £1.37 million that was raised in the following few days and all the money that was spent on donated food, bedding, toys, etc could have gone to.

I now wonder if the price of kebabs in Manchester has fallen in the last few days (and I now await for the hate mail to pour in)?

O_O damn

I find after a long shift at work, where I get to move the cars sometimes, a lot of them being auto or manual-auto (asm) when I come and jump in my car after work I almost forget to use the clutch, doh!

I wonder what would be better: to be able to fly or make myself invisible.

Depends how tiring each one is, how long you can be invisable for (and do you have to be naked)

Do crabs think we walk sideways?

If a crab is fed alcohol, would it walk forwards, as posed to sideways?

Maybe that's one for the Hamster on Brainiac Sicience Abuse? (this is not a plug, I don't work for the BBC)

How random does a thought have to be to allowed on here? Something could be utterly strange to write on a mini forum, however it could be normal for the days activities, like mine, for today, why is that bloke allowed to be working without a t shirt, hi viz or hard hat, normal question on a building site, but is a random thing to question on here

Nope wrong car, try Skoda Octavia and Superb. Now these are everywhere. Two just up the road from me.
