i have random moments like this on a daily basis....
Cars are not powered by dinosaurs or at least very rarely as very little dinosaur ended up in crude oil. Crude oil is manly made from extinct sea creatures like plankton rather than dinosaurs.

What's the difference between a vintage and a classic car?
Posted 02 September 2014 - 08:03 PM
Vintage is something that's very old and classic is just, well classic. as in it's classic
classic...........classic........classic....
The words lost all meaning

When does a classic become a vintage then?
Posted 02 September 2014 - 08:18 PM
for me i think of the mid 50s being a sort of crossover period lol

It doesn't as far as i am concerned.
Vintage cars are from the early 1900's
Modern cars will never become classics

But all cars were modern at some time ..?
Posted 02 September 2014 - 10:21 PM
yup, but modern cars these days are designed to be disposable and the design is unlikely to be timeless

Hmmm. But what about the MX-5, the Corrado, the first Type R? I think cars like the Audi TT have a strong chance of becoming classics.

Oh dear, i seem to have inadvertently started a debate
I do agree with you somewhat though so i won't argue it. Didn't really think it through properly
I guess time will tell. Can you imagine a vintage mx5?

i kind of agree with both of you, but then i think of cars like the Citroen DS, or BMW Isetta... they were both pretty off the wall when they came out

Bureaucracy at its best. Yesterday I saw this at a Sears store. Apparently, all vending machines in Florida must have the notice attached. If the notice is not attached, how are you supposed to know that is missing? How do you know what number to call? Is there a real function for the notice? Is it like a lottery scheme, that once you know about the notice and you spot a vending machine without it then you get money? But wait, did you write down the phone number from the last notice?
