I wonder if they'll say nice things about the Crawley's Labrador in the new series of Downton Abbey?

My mum asked earlier. "How do all of these little flies get into the kitchen?"
My answer was. "Well I assume they fly in."
My mum then said. "Very funny. I guessed that".
To which I replied. "What did you expect me to say? They didn't ride in on a moped did they?!"
I maintain. If you ask a stupid question, you get a stupid answer.

I don't think I've ever seen a black man driving a Mini.

Saw baby Pigeon on our front lawn, It had been dropped by its mother.
Funny little pink fuzzy things. Look like they have been turned inside out.
On another note, we keep getting fully grown Pigeons ending up in our chimney breast so we have to remove a vent in one of the bedrooms and try to get them out. Did one the other day and it unfortunately hurt itself as it flew out and hit the ceiling, it was like a blood bath. It was ok in the end though and flew away normally.

Are wood pigeons flammable?

Are wood pigeons flammable?
Can you start a fire with two wood pigeons? I'm sure Bear Grylls will fly in and help us with all of our wood pigeon related problems soon.
Anyway, why did you want to know if they're flammable...thinking of new ways to heat your home this winter?

In the history of man, has the mini brake fluid level warning light ever warned anyone of fluid loss and subsequent potentially catastrophic brake failure?

I would be so amazed if it came on I'd probably crash anyway.

So, I was in the supermarket today and i noticed the trend for parents to allow their kids to eat/drink stuff from the supermarket that hasn't been paid for. Three things occurred to me
1) Is this technically theft as the goods remain the property of the supermarket until paid for ?
2) We would NEVER EVER EVER have been allowed to do this as kids. Are parenting skills so bad these days that parents take their kids to the supermarket when they're so starving that they literally can't get through the shop without eating it ?
3) I also wondered how many parents just hide the empty wrappers etc on the shelf to get out of paying ?

I see this too. It's not theft until they try and leave without paying. Up until that point, they can argue that they intended to cough up. I think it's wrong too and just gives kids entirely the wrong impression and just adds to the attitude of entitlement. I imagine a huge amount never gets paid for and the supermarkets factor it in as just something that happens. They can take the hit of bag of crisps in exchange for a weekly shop.
There was an episode of the Simpsons once when Lisa shames Marge into paying for 3 grapes she ate and the checkout operator shouts it all over the store.
I was reading earlier about the courtesy buggies that Gatwick provides for parents getting off planes with small children. Supposed to be a nice, helpful gesture towards harassed parents backed by a charity. They're supposed to use them in the terminal and drop them off at the exit, but they've pretty much all been thieved. Such as shame.
