Phobia of needles - even though I now have to have blood tests every 2 weeks at the moment

seeing the needle go in makes me feel rough - but when the needle is in - no problem ?

and not worried at the sight of blood ?

I even crushed a finger in half - still didn't feel as bad as a needle going in a vein . :X

I have the same phobia and I am diabetic. I have to give myself 4 injections a day and have been diabetic since 1992.

I always used to call mine Mercedes. I hated people calling it a Merc.

My mates used to play on it and started calling it only 'Mercedes-Benz'

Drove me up the wall in the end

Why do you always get an itchy nose when your hands are really, really filthy?

Just read a thread on the might car mods forum about someone who bought a car and found it had no air filter.

Its just occurred to me. When ever I change an air filter on a car I always get the hoover and suck out any of the rubbish in the air box before fitting the new one. Am I the only person that does this?

No - I was trained to always clean the housing of any oil / dirt / leaves etc

good practice really

I have in the past vacuumed out spark plug holes before removing spark plug on deep open plug holes

Since breaking the 2 middle fingers on my left hand (a wheel hub fell on them) I've since had a phobia of blood, but only my own. So if I cut myself working on the mini or something that ends up bleeding enough, I turn a rather ill shade of white. But if someone else was bleeding to death, I'd be perfectly fine and wouldn't have a problem with it.

I'll be honest, it doesnt worry me how filthy my hands are... What worries me is when I'm doing something difficult and I get an itchy nose.

I've noticed that about a third of the stuff I sell on ebay (all of which are car parts) are bought by women. I wonder how many of them actually fit the parts themselves?

I thought is was 40% of statistics were made up?

I get a fair few ebay accounts that buy parts off me that are called things like stephandsteve81 so are probably used by a couple. Its only when the items are paid for through paypal  that I see the name on it is female.

I also reckon a lot of it is because an item is going to end at an awkward time when someone is out so possibly if their wife/girlfriend is at home when they are out, they bid on it at the last minute for their other half.

I did have another random though earlier but I can't think what it was now. I suppose my random though it what was my random though of the day?
