Indicators and mirrors are only for show on cars!  Obviously judging by this morning's drive to work!

Seconded.

Everyone was moving over into the other lane because of the parked bus but no Mr BMW has to drive up to it and then force himself across right in front of me this morning. There is then the usual shrug from the BMW driver, of "what did I do wrong" after I have just had to hit my brakes and horn at him.

Actually it tried not indicating at all in the mini other day and funny enough instead of being cut up/pulled out on pretty at much every junction and roundabout, the exact opposite happened. Probably because without me indicating they had to then used there brain to guess witch direction I was intending on going and were forced to stop instead.

But you're supposed to be totally awe-struck, impressed and respectful of his actions because he's got a Beemer! At least you probably get let out of junctions. I've never seen anyone voluntarily let a BMW out :D

Haha, I am a Beemer driver!  Maybe I'm different as I have had MGs and my Mini's, but I let people out all the time - not often let out when I'm in the BMW tho.  Its not the car that decides how you drive but the driver.  I was cut up - and I mean he missed me by a matter of a foot and a half  - by a Nissan quashqai thing and then 10 mins later by a Clio.

You are one of the decent ones. Carry a little sign that says "my other car is a classic Mini" and wave it. Everyone will let you out then :D

You can't have been the person then who almost side swiped me on my way in to work on Friday then.

I'm not kidding the guy in the Black M3 BMW just pulled across. If I hadn't hit my brakes he would have smashed into the side of me. If I had been sitting in the passenger seat I could have put the window down and easily put my hand on the side of my car without having to stretch.

My random thought of the day was, I'm surprised how long this thread has lasted. Any of the others I have started have not lasted as long but then I suppose they were all destined to finish when they got to the point where the answer needed was reached or the subject in discussion was not relevant any more.

If random thoughts end, it will be the death of civilisation as we know it ...

Why do some people need to be abusive just because you point something out to them?

I was behind a girl in the petrol station today who I saw get out of her car, walk across the forecourt and stand in front of me in line not wearing any shoes or socks.

I pointed out to her that not wearing shoes or socks to drive is an offence and she should be careful. She then had a go at me and told me that it was none of my business. Fair enough it wasn't. I did however turn around and say "fine then I won't tell you that the car that has pulled up behind you is an unmarked police car" (before anyone asks you could just see the lights hidden in the grill and it had an extra aerial on the back of it). She then continued to have a go at me at which point I said "fine and went to pay for my diesel.

Stupid hippy. She really could have done with a shower too.  :X

I have always had big cars and when it came to a point when i had no choice but to have basically what was available at short notice, i bought a Peugeot 106. For the first few weeks of driving it, i had to take my shoes off as the pedals are so small and close together, i kept mashing the pedals together whilst braking etc. Pretty dangerous!

Got used to it now though and wear shoes like normal people

I speak from the experience of having small feet so never having a problem. Sounds like you've got perfect sized feet to be a rally driver ;D
