Why are doggy bags called doggy bags yet the food is for yourself? (my sister's boyfriends mum came up with this one earlier)

The BTCC starts again in a couple of weeks (YAYY!!!) My question is: Why are honda racing an estate?

I know volvo did it but that was to promote their volvo estate and it had an aerodynamic advantage over the saloon version of the same car despite looking like a box. I would guess that the civic hatchback would be more aerodynamic than the estate though.

Why do my insurance , tax , mot , & service all come into perfect alignment after 4  or 5 years

I staggered them years ago , to spread the cost over the year , but they always seem to line up in the same month

when I change cars a few times

I guess buying a car with full tax & mot is the problem

Can you use a blank in scrabble as a hyphen?

It doesn't say you can't in the rules and we live in a negative rights country.

Surely if you are the result of a Christmas romp you would be close to the 25th September. Too far forward in the month and you could be the result of a Christmas work party romp!!

My birthday is indeed the 25th September. People had to make their own entertainment back in the fifties, even at christmas!

I've got a few tonight and yet I am still sober. Hmmm.....

Anyone else who is diabetic (or have an illness that requires the use of BD microfine needs), do you chuck the whole think in the sharps bucket once used or do you remove the two caps and just through the inner bit in the sharps bucket (anyone who has to do this will understand)? As a kid my mum always removed the two outer caps and just put the inner bit with the actual needle in the bucket and I have always done the same but I now question why? Putting the whole thing in the sharps bucket isn't going to take up much more space and is a lot quicker.

I always refer to it as sorting the shrapnel. Does anyone else?

I use the pliers on a freebie transit connect multitool to pull the needles apart. What do other people use (or again am I the only one who bothers)?

I snap the cap off the BD Microfine needles, always have done. But I have been using pens for several years so now only use the BDs as an emergency.

How does webuyanycar.com make any money?

Every time I have looked at their site to see how much they would give me for a car they have either  returned with a message saying they can't provide a quote or they offer me less than scrap value on the car.

Most car breakers these days will pay between £50-300 depending on the car.

They buy the car for generally half of what you'd see it for on a used car dealership, I think it's car craft who's their sister company who sell the cars

I understand that bit. I suppose more my question is, what idiot sells their car to them? When ever we have needed to sell a car we have be able to sell it within a week or two on ebay or gumtree or get it scrapped and get more for it than what webuyanycar.com offers for them.

I was offered £96 for my 52 plate mondeo when it still had tax and MOT, someone offered me £125 for it as a banger racer, my local breakers offered £150 as scrap and allow me to cash in the last 2 months tax, I've sold over £300 worth of spares of it and probably still have 60% of a car (I realise not everyone has the luxury of being able to break a car).
