Why do people still not understand the concept of average speed cameras?

Some woman today came screaming through the 50mph zone on the M54. As she went past me I pointed to the yellow cameras above us and she hit the brakes. She then pulls suddenly across in front of me causing me to hit my brakes and slow down to about 45 mph. As there was nothing in the right hand lane I moved over and went to overtake her. She then decides to speed up to 50mph so is right next to me. I gestured at her (nothing rude I will add) to say what are you doing (a kind of shrug of the shoulders and raise of the hands sign). She continues to sit right next to me through the 50 zone. I can't move over now as a truck had caught us up and I can't pull in front of her as this would require me to speed which I am not going to do. As soon as we get to the end of regulation signs where I put my foot down, she winds the window down, shouts abuse at me, puts her fingers at me and then undertakes me. She must have sped up to about 90mph and joined the M6 at junction 10a where again, there are average speed cameras.

Why was it always when you were playing with lego/meccano/k'nex/etc with one of your friends as a kid that you both needed that rare and unusual part to complete your model?

And the final one from this morning and I don't know why it popped into my head...

Why is Secret Sugar called Secret Sugar on here (sorry to single you out Secret Sugar)?

I had someone go past me at about 60mph today through those bridge works on M54, get to the national speed limit so I speed up and they just casually kept going at 60.

Sounds about right.

I got stopped by a copper just after pulling off at junction 2 on the M54 a couple of weeks ago. He pulled me over as apparently my brake lights were working intermittently. Apparently he didn't see them come on when I slowed down for the 50 mph bit. There was a reason for that. I didn't brake. I drive down the M54 every day so I know at the one temporary sign if I lift off the accelerator at 70 mph then my car will roll past the 50 mph sign at 50.

After testing my brake lights several times and checking all my other lights he let me on my way.

Suicide spiders - big ones - why ???

I'm mid 40's , 13 st - not much insect wise scares me

except big hairy spiders that run at me - when I move out of the way - they change direction (towards me) and carry on ?

then they rear up on their back legs - what do they know that I don't ?

nearly always when getting in the shower

"Crack Open Sandwiches"

How do they make them? Do they cut a sandwich in half and then put both halves next to each other in the same pack, or more likely, do they make two sandwiches piled one on top of the other, cut them both in half together and put two halves of two different sandwiches together in seperate packs, ready stacked on top of one another?

If the latter is true, then who's eating the other half of your sandwich, and who's sandwich do you have the other half of??

(It's 04:32 AM, this stuff quite clearly keeps me awake at night!!)

Why do they start road works at 8am just as rush hour gets really bad.

Why did the police pull over the black Mercedes this morning on the M54 just before the roadworks heading east bound?

After explaining this thread to our intern Alex at work, he asks:

What happens if you put a gold fish in a toaster?
