BBC for you. Lefties.

It was also on radio 2, 3 and 4 simultaneously.

If you were to get arrested, having never committed a crime before so the police have no record of you, you have no ID, say absolutely nothing and no-one identifies you what would happen?

I imagine you wouldn't be released, and held until your trial but then how would the CPS deal with you? Would they assign you an identification?

Are you asking for a friend?

No.

Saw an episode of traffic cops or police interceptors (can't remember which) where a guy refused to say his name, give the police any details or provide any ID. He was arrested, taken to the station and eventually identified by his finger prints which they had on record from a previous minor offence. He was prosecuted for not wearing a seat belt (originally why he was pulled over) and wasting the police time.

If they hadn't already got his finger prints what would the CPS have done?

I believe that under PACE he would have been put in front of a court for the offence of no seatbelt and presumably detained until he could be identified.

Why do people keep saying I can lick door handles now I've had my second covid jab?

This isn't something I did before, nor do I have an interest in doing so now.

Whoever invented the first flushing toilet that we recognise (e.g. not the Romans over a pit with running water) had to at some point test their invention in anger. It doesn't matter how good their planning, calculations, etc were there was always the chance it wasn't going to work and they would have had one hell of a mess to clean up. I wonder if they ever thought about that.

Walked out of Halfords earlier and passed a guy who said to his kids as they walked in "right kids, it's Sheeple time". Both kids immediately put on a mask without arguing, despite probably being exempt because of their age.

Not sure how I feel about this? Good you are encouraging your kids to wear a mask but the methodology is perhaps not the best.

If you can make it all the way to your destination by train and never once get your ticket checked, I feel as though you should be entitled to a refund.

There is £11.80 I spent on train fair this evening that if I was dishonest, could have got away without paying.

Why do microwave cooking instructions always list power ratings that end with 50,whereas every microwave I've come across has a power rating ending with 00.

They never match.

Q: How many group members does it take to change a light bulb ?

1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed.

14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently.

7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs.

17 purists who use candles and are offended by light bulb discussions.

6 to argue over whether it's 'lightbulb' or 'light bulb'.

Another 6 to condemn those 6 as stupid.

22 to tell THOSE 6 to stop being jerks.

2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is 'lamp'.

15 know-it-alls who claim they were in the industry, and that 'light bulb' is perfectly correct.

19 to post that this page is not about light bulbs and to please take this discussion to a light bulb page.

11 to defend the posting to this page saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant here.

24 to discuss the merits of LED/swirly fluorescent light bulbs

44 to claim LED and fluorescent bulbs will kill you.

12 to post F.

8 to ask what F means.

7 to post 'Following' but there's 3 dots at the top right that means you don't have to.

3 to say "can't share"

2 to reply "can't share from a closed group"

36 People to post pics of their own light bulbs.

15 People to post "I can't see S£%^!" and use their own light bulbs.

6 to report the post or PM an admin because someone said "f÷×£"

4 to say "Didn't we go through this already a short time ago?".

13 to say "Do a search on light bulbs before posting questions about light bulbs".

1 to bring politics into the discussion by adding that (insert politician of choice) isn't the brightest bulb. This usually takes place within the first three comments.

50 more to get into personal attacks over their political views.

5 admins to ban the light bulb posters who took it all too seriously.

1 late arrival to comment on the original post 6 months later and start it all over again.

You missed the 1 person to point out that they are lamps and not light bulbs.  Lamps glow, bulbs grow!

Oh no he didn't,see seven or eight down.PO telephones instructor drilled the distinction into me 40 years ago.Steve..

So we can now include:

1 person to point out a missing point

1 person to point out that the OP hadn't missed a point that the other person thought was a missed point

aaaaaand (including myself here) 1 person to point out these, as now additional missing points from the list........ (I don't think they are included in any of the others?)

Ironic eh?
