A friend and I we're talking about a Dacia duster we were following the other, it was a 14 plate, and we decided that for the same money new, you could have brought such a better car for the same money, granted a couple of years old, and have a few miles, but will definitely be better than one of those. Like my girlfriend has just brought an 11 plate Corsa, a perfectly good car, but a bit bland, and feels cheap, whereas I've got an older 3 series bm, and, quite frankly it's just better
I would never ever buy a brand new car again.
I had a Corsa SRI brand new in 05. Got bored of it after a year and lost 3 grand on it

That new car feeling doesn't appeal to me at all.
I am perfectly happy with a good quality used car that you can nip round in without fear of scratching it etc.
I remember being very angry when i car flicked a stone up at my door on the M3 and took a huge chunk out of the paint.
If that happened to my 2002 Scenic that i own now, i wouldn't be that bothered.

I had a new corsa as a courtesy car. I personally think the previous model was better and more refined.
A thought that occurred to me today was how come I could buy 40 litres of all purpose compost for £1.99 yet if I were to buy the same amount of water in 500ml drench water bottles at 80p each, it would be £64.

Ben and Jerry's did last time I checked. My housemate moved out and left some in our freezer so I ate it.

The ben and Jerry one has chocolate shaped bananas and walnuts in it. It's fantastic!
I haven't seen it in the shops for ages though.
Make some?? We do, it's easy
edit: the B&J one is called chunky monkey

I have got an icecream maker but it's one of those you churn by hand for ages. Every time I make some it never tastes right - never sweet enough. Shop bought stuff must be 80% sugar at least.

We don't use gadgets. We just chuck cream, sugar, yoghurt and crushed up bananas into an ice cream tub and put it in the freezer. Take it back out every hour or so and give it a mix up. Tastes ok

Apparently the rate of freezing of ice cream has something to do with how soft it is. So there are people (fancy people) who use liquid N2 to super cool ice cream once it has been churned up in a blender or something. Apparently it tastes very good... according to some fancy folk I know.

I was watching Wonders of the Universe by Professor Brian Cox earlier and he was on about how life possibly started.
This made me wonder. It must have been really lonely for the very first microbe that existed. I wonder if that is why it split itself in two so that it could have a friend.
