Talking of Marvel Characters, what happens when you fire an EMP pulse at Iron Man? Does he then become "Sky Anvil"?

First and quite a general one. Omg what the...!!! China is really different to the UK. I know I should have expected it but still.
What did I have for lunch and dinner. It tasted good but I don't really have a clue of what I ate.
Some of the complimentary items that are provide in the hotel rooms do make you wonder what has gone on in it before or what are they expecting?
There will be more to come...

I'm currently sitting in a hotel room in yixian China as I write this and I am here for the next two weeks. I landed earlier today/yesterday (so confused) so as you can image there are probably going to be quite a few random thoughts coming from me.

The Chinese have far better names for their hills than we do. One was called wolf teeth mountain range and another blood hill. Both of them have far better stories to them as well.
I wonder if anyone in a 50 mile radius of me is enjoying a cup of tea... UK style. Milk and two sugars. Milk is almost impossible to find in China as apparently most Chinese people are lactose intolerant. I got bought a pack of milk drinks by our hosts and I have used them to make tea. I'll put up a picture when I'm back.
The place I went for dinner tonight did some amazing chicken wings. It could have only been made better if they had been served by a girl in a strappy white top and orange hot pants.

I also visited some tombs yesterday. They have a sign that said, "no scribbles" (I'll post a picture when I'm back) regarding graffiti on the tombs. Does that mean if I write really neatly am I allowed to write on them?
Chinese people need to learn to cook toast.I had to ask the girl by the toaster to put it back in three times before it was toast rather that warm bread.

Not really a random thought, more of a statement. Either way a bit of western junk food was nice for a change.
If only I could get a proper cup of tea...

Reading that last comment, does that mean the tea and british people stereotype is true?

Yes. I bought a milk tea earlier thinking it was a bad translation. Turns out it was just a tea bag boiled in milk. Still its better than coffee.
Why is it that in hotels the loo roll is folded into a point? No one does this at home.

Haha, that is a quite interesting piece of information :)
Maybe they are giving you some paper to try some origami while you are relieving yourself (and yes I know origami is Japanese and not Chinese) :)

I'm back. Time for some more random thoughts and photos of some of the above.
Why does the map thing on airline tv's tell you the outside temperature. Its not like I am going to step outside for a minute and therefore need to know if I need a jacket or not is it?
Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV's are weird things to drive. I drove my director's back from the airport yesterday. They aren't fuel efficient either so why do they get the tax breaks. His is only averaging about 32 mpg at the minute. My 9 year old Vectra does 50 mpg.
Why did I bother paying £30 for a letter off my doctors to say that I suffer from diabetes and I have to carry needles with me? I have never been stopped and asked by airport security. I was stopped yesterday and had my bag searched because of a metal tag on my work ID and my belt that I forgot to take off, not because of my insulin. Also why is the letter only valid for 10 years? Its not like I am suddenly going to get over being diabetic.
At the Qing dynasty tombs there are signs as shown below. If I write really neatly does that mean I can write on the tombs?
OMG!!! When I said lets have Patrick around for dinner this was not what I meant!!! They bbq them and about half of the scorpions on those sticks are still alive and twitching around.
I have come back to 7 episodes of Mighty car mods, highlights of the BTCC and episode 9 of project binky.
I took a picture of a statue at the Ming Dynasty (got a day off on the trip). I don't know why it popped into my head but while I was standing looking at it all I could think to say was "No Dana. Only Zuul" which caused my director to burst out laughing (and before anyone says it I know that the monsters in the film were the gate keeper and the key master, not Zuul).
Slightly covered up picture of the complimentary items in one of the hotels. The picture I took in the hotel when I made the post I've realised I can't show due to the packaging design but the photo also included latex gloves and personal lubricant. As you may see in the image, on the larger box it does say "underwear". I think people can guess what the smaller boxes are.
One Milk Tea including straw. It was ok but a bit odd.

Don't understand this. Whenever I go abroad I just get a letter from the Diabetic Clinic at the hospital for free. And it doesn't have a expiry date either. Sounds like your Doctor is onto a moneyspinner.
