Very nice build!
Where did you find the Ohlins shocks? Are these built to order or is there a place that has these in stock?
Thanks!
That's a long story
Initially, my idea was to fit GAZ ones (sold by Minisport, Minispares, ...). Then, in Barcelona Historic Festival, I saw that Glyn Swift's Mini was equipped with GAZ alloy shocks so I decided to ask GAZ about them. I called a friend that knows the spanish GAZ distributor and he told me he could get them at a reasonable price. He also asked me about Öhlins as he is an Öhlins fan. I knew about Öhlins custom shocks and I remembered that Öhlins made shocks for Rover Mini Cooper years ago. I suppose they ceased production due to low sales.
But I knew spanish Öhlins distributor is 20 minutes from my home so I visited them. I asked about shocks for my car and surprisingly they had ones in stock. They had them in stock for 4 years and didn't sold them so I managed to negotiate the price
I'm not sure but I think I bought one of the last units of these shocks in Europe, perhaps the last one... I don't know.
If you want, I can give the reference of my shocks and you can try to contact dealers, perhaps someone has one set in stock.
I've tried to explain the story in english but I usually speak catalan so if something is poorly explained tell me and I'll try to do it better

I just sacked them off as you need to drill and pop rivet some clips on to hold it to the body. Looks Tip Top mate keep it up!
