if only there was some way of connecting computers together, maybe like a 'web' and then if you could search it wouldn't that be fantastic!!

I've actually got a set of Metro GTa alloys you could have (yes Austin ones and not Rover ones). Tread is legal on the tyres I think but I'd replace them as a matter of course. They are 13" rims though.

Sorry to bring up an old thread guys!

I have been doing a bit of reading, as I have finally gotten round to fitting 12 inch mini wheels on the front of the metro.

Now it was a real squeeze to fit these on, I knew it would be tight but Im a bit worried about the stress on the studs and nuts..
I dont want my gf going along for a wheel to sheer the bolts on her way to uni; should I just be on the look out for some metro steels?

Thanks guys!

I have good metro metric tyres.

Thankyou for the offer but I'd rather get some imperial wheels, however I might give you a PM if I cant find any wheels :)

the mini wheel's will be fine on there unless you've had to fit wheel spacers or something like that

your only concern is the tyre touching the body, or the hole in the centre of the wheel not being big enough for the sticky out bit around the drive shaft nut.

Okay well the mini wheels fit onto the four 'prongs' that are around the castle nut, I was just worried about the strain..

There is no rubbing or anything which Im happy about.. I should take a picture really, tomorrow!

Thanks mini13

no problem,

to put your mind at rest furthur, the metro turbo wheels end up in a similar position to where your mini wheels are, so you are not pusuing it outside of its design,

also some people fit metro parts to minis and use them with mini wheels.... or 7x13, which move the wheel out drastically with no issues.

I will say, while you are working on the car, it is worth checking the joint where the front anti roll bar goes through the bottom arm, and also the top and bottom ball joints,
