Looking forward to seeing your progress!!

My car is at meetthespeakers shop right now doing the swap and some other modifactions to try to tuck some stretched steelies under the standard body(no flares). I'm trying to doing something a little different. Right now I'm battling the color choice of my wheels, cage, frame and engine parts. Was Going to stay with the old english white but I just had the wheels powder coated to a bronze. Still on the fence about it.

Here's the thread
http://www.theminifo...-7#entry3432577

Thanks man. I've been following John's work at MCM on here and on Facebook, his stuff is incredible! You're car is in good hands  ;D I've had a flick through you thread and it looks awesome! Loving the stance you've managed, especially staying archless. Cant wait to see it with more tuck!

Thanks for backing me up on the other thread. I'm I'm tired of the back and forth on the "stanced" thread. Don't know why it's bothering me but I'm not going to add more to the debate. You were spot on!

No worries mate, it does my absolute head in too, it's still going on! Every other day an argument crops up on the topic, what is it with mini owners and trying to dictate the style of someone elses car?  I guess we'll never know lol.

Just a quickie mate, is the grill just a standard van grill so it hasn't been cut down at all. then its just got some arch rubber around the outside of it?

Im looking at changing my grill and want something I can paint to match my arches & bumpers, thinking a steel grill will be easier than a stainless version rubbed down

Sorry to leave you hanging mate! Only just spotted this. I didn't do any trimming on the grille but I did do a bit of bending and tweaking with the pliers to make it sit flush against the front panel, but that was it! Easy as pie to fit. The rubber trim was just some stuff I found on ebay after typing in 'rubber trim'.

Looking really good, loving the chin spoiler.

Bit of an odd one. My dad reckons he saw a low black mini driving through Berden in Essex today, any chance it was yours? Can't think of many more in the area.

Thanks mate! I wish I could claim it was me, but unfortunately this thing is not quite road legal yet, so I'm afraid not!

Evening people. Not a lot to update on at the moment; the car runs and drives but the carbs are still causing problems, I'm getting close to the problem now though. Should definitely be on the road for this show season. I got accepted into the paddock for players classic which was a nice surprise, and then very quickly realised that I'll be at Le Mans during the show, so that was a bummer.

ANYWAY... My main Christmas pressie this year was a decent DSLR camera, so I couldn't resist getting out there and talking a few photos. The car was filthy so gave it a quick wash and dry. No polish yet, couldn't be arsed. I also reeeeeaaally need to get my front spacers on.

Other goodies that I got for Christmas include a WiredbyWilson toggle switch set, and air horns!! No pics of those just yet but I'll get them up soon.

Looks perfect, even without the spacers.

Stance is spot on (cue the arguments) 😉
