right then, i did some things!!!

been working on the arches more, got them all done now.... messy job!

IMG_1435_zps1a49e95e.jpg

after loads of filing and a few years taken off my life i managed to get them looking pretty good

IMG_1437_zps6e44a851.jpg

rattle canned them black so i could see what im dealing with

should look pretty bang tidy once the arches are tubbed and its got moar lowzzz

speaking of arch tubbing... i was holding the angle grinder when i suddenly felt incredibly ballsy

the welding will be done by my dads mechanic friend when hes got the time, should be soon hopefully!

also found some pretty bodgey looking welding work inside the passenger side rear bin. not quite sure how its supposed to look.... still, seems to be sturdy and not rusty so it can stay for now...

and i also went a bit mental with a hammer and chisel... going to be fun tidying this up  O_O

I have just modified these standard black 'special' arches for Carlos_w.

P1050071_zps997964c7.jpg

P1050102_zpsf39f27fa.jpg

His car is de-seamed so didn't need the cut-out to go round the seam so they got bridged as well as the screw holes.

They will be painted body colour and bonded on.

He didn't want screws showing or the nasty notch outs where the screws go.

Mine will be having the same arches but i am going for original so i will be using riv-nuts and stainless screws.

Ben

cant wait till the back is lower. i want to lower the front a bit more but im a bit paranoid about the angle of the ball joints

im thinking spacers all round  ;D ... the ones ive got on the back atm can go on the front, and when a mate of mine gets his force racing wheels he wont need his 3/4" spacers anymore so said i can have them cheap... although im still not sure how to over come the problem ive had for a while; the OS front wheel sticks out about 2cm further than the NS one.... im thinking its either the new front was put on wonky, or its a cheap replacement subframe that isnt quite perfect.... might run a wider spacer on that side, maybe not the best idea but its not seeing a track anytime soon!
