this evening i ventured out into the garage with a bucket load of confidence and this was the outcome...
in case you hadnt guessed by now, im basically going to start a mini restoration where i can change things that im not happy with after the first build. (cracked arches, gutless engine, paint imperfections, arch rubbing, etc..) updates will include the new 1275, tubbed arches, extra wide mexico arches with the lips cut off (in place of the sportspacks), mexico front splitter, 2 pac respray.... ive got a mate who works at Duxford Air Museum restoring the old planes, and hes said that i can use their spray booth any time i want. he'll even get me my paint for trade prices
so. as you can see from above, the strip down has begun.
test fitting the mexicos. ive only cut one lip off one so far (takes bloody ages!!). needs a lot of tidying, and the car will eventually be much lower, but you get the idea.... might even fit bigger spacers lol... i have to admit that cutting the lip off the mexicos was not my idea doormatt on here actually did it first

haha cheers man, thought it might surprise some people lol. i was getting tired of all the cracked filler round the arches, it kept reminding me of the mini equivalent of 90s wannabe max power cover cars that were covered in dodgy filler jobies and fat cracked bumpers ... going for the nice simple bolt on look this time

Good man.
Although i love your car, i was never a fan of the arches moulded to the front bumper look

I ordered 50 M5 16mm long with washers and nuts.
Also came in useful for other things like mounting my headlight bowls and grille etc...

Don't know if you've got any fixings yet but I'm using these on the very same arches:

It'd probably be a tie between those two, but hey! I think the cut off lip makes a big difference here.

yeah probably haha. yeah the lip makes them look too wide and ruins the fitment imo
