Little retro touch, some old skool rally lamp covers to add to the motorsport theme

Some more pics from a show at the weekend, went and parked up with a mate, was great to see people looking and comparing the two.

What jaydee said is mainly the reason, it creates a nicer burble. plus in northern Ireland its not a mot requirement. since i fitted the fletcher you also hear a nice we pop and bang when changing down gears which sounds brilliant imo. kind of makes it more fun to drive. will have to keep me amused to i finish the 16v engine

Never realized i hadn't put a few pics up of the next work in progress on the project. this could take a while as money is tight atm, but when im home from uni i have a steady income so hopefully will get some shinny parts ordered end of January.

 1236033_729835850364922_671850394_n_zps4

got the car looking and handling how i wanted, had my fun at shows in the show in shine section. so decided to built an engine. had originally intended on using a stage 3 mpi head, swiftune cam and all the other usual stuff, then eventually a sc throttle body kit like a mates car. but it wasnt as budget friendly as i wanted, and i wanted the car to feel completely different.

So currently the spec is like this, though this may change

1380cc block with 16v modifications

73.5 dished and pocketed omega pistons

med modiied crank

s/c conversion kit

s/c loom and ecu

balanced crank conrods and pistons

lightened flywheel

modified k1100 16v head

bmw throttle bodes

3.2fd

rebuilt g/box possibly straight cut

Large capacity radiator

s/c manifold

s/c ancillary kit

though like i said hat may change.

and some more pic ******* with the hommies haha

In the mean time i should have a nice shinny set of force racing splits lol

planning to have my engine built for June next year, or as close to it. I need to place an order for pistons crank and a full rotating assembly and a conversion kit, that should give me enough to get a good start.

Well nothing much has changed like this, getting ready to start my 16v conversion but i wont talk to much about that until ive progress made.

over winter dropped the car a fair bit and IMO it looked so much better, also generally tidied it up, so a pic

Found the ride very stiff on the coils so in the process of swapping back to cones with some protech shocks, although saying that they dont seem to be going in with out a fight, rears hit on the radius arms and tops dont go through the arch, apart from that they look sexy though

Other news i moved home from uni so bought a daily so the mini has been of the road until i get into the swings of my new job. Hopefully going back on the road this week.

And in other news next week should see delivery of my new wheels so I look forward to sharing some pictures.
