Hello again :) so I'm almost ready to give this makin my own dash and centre console a go :S haha I have had a look at the templates that were or in the links above and just wondered if anyone had used them?? It's more the centre console one really, I'm not that great at drawing and want it to be right lol does anyone know what sort of scale I would need to blow the diagram up by so it's full size?? Xx

I would get a large piece of cardboard say 130 x 40 cm (stick some cereal boxes together :D )  & make your own template

cut the cardboard in half lengthways & concentrate on getting the top & bottom edges to fit the existing dash perfectly

you can then join the 2 pieces together to make yr template :D

To do the dash in mine your probably look at spending £1,500 ish excluding the stereo and dab radio (in the glove box) .  The main cost is the Stack Dash being around £1,000!

I've got the folder of the build already to scan but am going to clear it with Miniworld first since they own the copyright on most of the pics etc!

If anyone has got any old Miniworld mags lying around they can have a look at the build thread in them (The car is Miniworld Project 45 which was pretty much built by Peter Vickers and Mini World with further bit of tinkering by me and my dad).  If anyone wants any specific photo's, measurements info etc let me know and I'll happily oblige.  (And I'll not be so slack in responding.  Sorry but life has got a bit mental lately)!

Just finished my Daimler dart inspired dashboard and console. There's still a gear gaiter to go on but I'm pretty pleased with it. I have to thank my fiancée for the hard work though she's done an awesome job 👍

The surround is 6mm mdf trimmed in neoprene then red leatherette. The dash center and console is carbon skinned mdf.

Yeah I noticed the real CF :D:

So I presume you sanded the edges of the MDF to get a rounded edge?? How thick is the neoprene?

already been thinking about something similar but not the same :D
