Hi all

I would like to know if anyone has tried using another car slave cylinder on mini clubman 1977.My car is a pre verto clutch. My reason for asking is because I am from South Africa and the guys that sell spares here are way over priced on mini spares,I am thinking of using a 1992 corolla slave cylinder.Has anyone gt any ideas or point me in the right direction as to how I can use another slave cylinder.
Thank you in advance.

Have you looked to see if you can do a rebuild with a much cheaper rebuild kit?

Bore and stroke size are your issue, you need to be the same on both to ensure it would work

You could probably bleed a clutch slave successfully through the hose union. Just slacken the hose and push the cylinder piston back in with a stout screwdriver. Hold the pedal down to stop it feeding back to the master.

You could also drill out and replace the bleed screw with summet like http://compare.ebay....ff13=80&ff14=66

Though any 7/8" bore cylinder with enough stroke will do, if you can mount it.

Bore is important as incorrect will mean different pressure, to big the master cylinder wont stroke far enough
