I think the only thing the person optioned on mine was a heated rear screen, but no rear wiper?
It interesting back in the day how differnat levels of cars actually had very different spec levels, every thing thats on yours would be a on a stock bottom of the range car. now.
launch prices MiniMetro 1.0 £3,095 MiniMetro 1.0L £3,495 MiniMetro 1.0HLE £3,695 MiniMetro 1.3 £3,995 MiniMetro 1.3HLS £4,296.
My stripped out shell was 400 quid cheaper at the dealer than the pretty basic L model. Maybe the the guy was a miser as he only drove the thing 21,000 miles.

Over a thousand pound difference there from left to right on that list, crazy seeing as you dont get £1000 worth of extras, unless thats what there worth, if so feel free to buy my interior haha

Hi folks, following on from getting the sand blaster and realising it was more messy than thought i decided to make a "Budget Blast Cabinet!!" haha so i started by nicking my grans torage box that had a load of bottles of screws and bolts in ectt...
I started by making the legs so it can be mounted/stood over the compressor with the blasteer beside that so its all neat and tucked away:
Put this piece of wood above as a speader plate for the screws down into the legs:
And drilled a few holes so as i could screw the rear supports into there spreader plates and continue into the wall which a drilled and plugged:
Next up was to put the sides and top on and drill a hole for the blast pipe to come through:
Front on:
Holes marked for the glove entrance holes and also the gloves i was going to ue pictured but they really need to be abit longer than average for this so the gloves and some perspex will be my only purcase for this cabinet so really good value for money
No progress on the metro as such but thought id post this up as its in aid of something to do with the metro haha (excuse )
My old man got this aswell for some unknown reason to me:
Haha
Oh and i sketched out the metro which sort of looks like a fiesta :/ :
Thats about the most metro in this update haha
Bye for now

Hahaha yeah i can see that being an issue , issue i might have is it coming through the plastic and also still got to expandable foam inside the lower inner areas so as it doas leak and fill up with sand in the bottom cavity's

you need to rig up a self collecting and filtering system! something like a triangles bottom with a sive underneath it haha!
just be warned though, it gives out an enormous amount of dust and is very bad gor the old lungs! make sure your protected

Ahh thanks for the advice Dom, i'l be going OTT with the foam and sealant then hahaha
Yeah might upgrade in the near future to a built in fueel underneith as i think theres just about enough room to create something like that to collec back in a container

Try cobble together a small extractor unit to get rid of the dust, or within a few minutes you'll be blasting blind lol
Didn't consider thar Lew, i have a spare metro heater out of the shell i got delivered so maybe the fan assembly out of that will do the trick and keep my build at a cost of £nothing
Keep saying im going to do work on this but i,ve got stuck in on the mk2 now haha, i',ve seen a seller on e-bay doing outer sills for £24 so i'l be getting those next and also possible so floor pans and jaking point (may make these myself), after all thats done i'l stick the carpet back in and jobs a gooden
Going to be weird when all thats done, never owned a car that doesnt need work doing ...although the rear is an eye sore but can't do that just yet
Cheers

Well........are weekend ended early!!........................
Yet another tyre blow out, rear this time on the motorway at around 50 mph but wasnt too bad of a juder to be honest and nothing got damaged...
Having to fork out for five new tyres earlyer than expected but needs must, in the mean time (please dont laugh) the metros got some purple shoes on :
And seeing as i had half a day to do something constructive i decided to build me a desk!! woop woop
Finished for tonight just as a temp setup but i,ve got alot more to do and upgrade with the desk for printer storage ect..
Finaly sat down for a bru and caught up with TMF news! haha
So the gold wheels will be painted sooner than expaected haha
