Ooo yeah some revolutions would look really nice on the metro, only thing im bothered about is width, i know its popular to space them out to fill the arch but cant bring myself to change it haha.
Been having a chat with a friend of mine a few doors down and we both think a black and gold theme would look nice, i need new tyres so the wheels can be refurbed then in either black, gold or silver maybe even gold chrome but id like folks opinion firs please /?????
Cheers

Ooo they do look rather nice, how much, what size are they, what tyre do they take and TAKE MY MONEYYY!!!!! haha, if they will look good i'l have them, any chance of a bang on sidee view of the wheel so i can get someone to photoshop them onto mine ?

Hello folks, another lovely day todaa......oh wait, well atleast i still got some work done haha
Wanted to re-grease all the pivot points so took the wheels off one by one and got the grease gun out....
Heres the front offside toparm area (i do belive its had no lock tabs and possibly balljoints ?) and the tabs are not tapped over correct ?:
Front floor jacking point rusted and needing attention:
Thought i might aswell give the wheels a clean from barake dust....
Before:
After:
I do belive these are what needs trimming flat ?, i feel using a lathe would be better:
4 pot calipers in gold (hubs are also gold):
Old grease coming out he rear radius arm, i think it needed a regrease :
After id cleaned up the wheels and wheel trim:
So after the dirty stuff was done i went in, cleaned myself up with clean clothes) and started on the interior.
First up was to T-Cut with windows and start getting rid of the windscreen rubber brown stuff, i would at this point have a picture below but its just glass thats clean
So moving on!......
I thought id clean some interior parts...
Dash mat:
Also foound this under the seat, theres another mating connection at the front of the seat (second picture):
Any idea ?
The dreamer in me says heated seat but i doubt it haha
Thats it for this update folks, the metro's test begins this weekend as it'l be doing a 200 mile round trip up cumbria with me behind the wheel so look out for me up the A6
P.S. the seat covers are staying because there amazing
Thats for theseat belt light on the dash, so it goes out when you belt up.

So having not updated with goings on with Cuey i thought it best id do a little BuMp of an update
Since last going up cumbria to my grans and having a blow out on a re-mould tyre i,ve been up there once more sice and guess what happened on the way up 60ish miles in ?..........
YUP, yet another frontal blow out :
Also my usual parking space was taken up by my sisters car so had to leave it overnight on a slight incline,
Ths is what a came out to the next day:
I understand off a few videos on youtube that its was a common fault on the 3 door mk1 metro for it to leak fuel out on a left hand bend and onto the rear wheel!, safe to say this is priority number 1 now!
Not 100% sure on the sorce of the problem but its either the filler cap, tank breather or return:
Minor issue here but thought id post it anyway as a job needing doing haha:
Just today i,ve given the metro an oil and filter change to freshen things up, used i funnel with a built in filter and saw no bits in it after so alls well haha, also the sump plug had very little slug build up too, Halford classic on offer at £15.99 !! WOOP WOOP :
Took the seat covers off later on today ready for a good hoover and clean out of the interior after i do a run to the tip of a load of rubbish in the back yard, also going to take all the seats out when i get back so i can pull the carpet out and have a good look at the floor and do any repairs or paint protection needed:
This isnt an immobaliser or isnt anymore as when i flick it on/off the car still starts and traced the wires and think there connected to a relay on the bulkhead....which isnt attached to anything haha
Ohh and took delivery of a nice little TIG set today:
First time using it:
Anyone wants a write up on its functions and spec please say so and i'l be happy to
Cheers
