Is the plan to finish this,MOT it and then sell it?

 

it would be a shame if you never get to drive it..

 

Especially after all the work

 

 

Once the sill is sorted and I've built it back up I'll be taking it for a little spin down the back of the house  , just to make sure the brakes work correctly of course, more so the Handbrake at speed on loose gravel, which is an important right of passage before returning it too the road  .

You need to check the car's capability to churn stones up. it's the law

A little more work done this weekend just gone, infact the sill is welded, I made a CAD template for the front section of the sill (the bottom of the wing bolts to this section) and then drilled it to accommodate the wing bolt and clip that it screws into (I've no idea what it's real name is!  ).

 

Interior is pretty much all back in bar a few odds and sods like grab handles and sun visors etc..

 

I'm hoping to get it outside and washed inside and out ready for listing on Ebay at the weekend.

 

What does everyone think a reasonable reserve should be put at ? I haven't done the brakes, lost a clevis pin for the handbrake and the obvious rear end damage from the accident a while back should be taken into consideration.

I hope so Ben, if anything for all of the minis and metro sold, I'd love nothing more then someone to continue on the thread of progress and the little adventures driven.

Forgot to mention that I noticed 2 or 3 Mk3 astra estates at MITP.   I'll add 1k to the asking price now, because It's a 'classic'.

I sold it is the short answer  .

However, it did allow me to pay a substantial amount off of my Finance for the mountain bike, and with trying to progress in my Engineering Career, it's allowed me a lot more time and freedom to move forward with that among other things.

 

I've got over not having a "project" quite well to be honest, although I still have a garage and loft of mini/metro parts to sell which may bring back a lost emotion  .
