Well no pictures as i've been quite snowed under with things to do, including recieving awards! :shades:  :shy: , but the big andgood news is that Cuey is riding high and riding high proud! :highfive: , that pipe from the offside to the nearside T-Piece had corroded heavily and also the rear brake pipe burst whilst we did that.

So, ended up changeing the brake and Hydro lines! and that rules out more things to go wrong within the next couple of years :).

Cheers,

Cliff

What if I end up spending £1700 on a 6.8ltr v8 Bentley motor producing 400+bhp and use a fiat panda 4x4 runing gear under Cuey ?

I'm sure you'd keep up ....on a to rope attachedto me :bah:

In the event of that I'd plant my car with c4, and drive in the middle of a field and blow myself up to the unimaginable shame of being beaten by something that has fiat parts on it... :P

Aye nothing wrong with a fiat, or some french cars for that matter, did you know that the suspension that the Rolls Royce and Bentleys use (to this day I believe), was first fitted and created by Citoren!.

And if I could afford a Fiat Panda 4x4 i'd ruddy get one!!, they look so good when loweed abit and given a panaramic sunroof, I saw one like that in white with black roof and Abarth decals, floated my boat I tell thee!

I have been thinking (Dangerous event), and I have been considering selling Cuey again for a mk1 Golf, the front of Cuey just doesn't do it for me and I know i'l be cutting it up and giving it a facelift if i'm not carefully, i've done about 20 edits of the metro in different form on the front, the best I could come up with was De-bumpered, mk1 recessed lights, mk2 bonnet, slatted black grille and a complete redo of the valence shape.

You ever thought of sod it and just do what you want with it? That's what I'm doing with the gta. Can't be arsed with the messing about of originality, so if I were you, turbo bodykit, wheels, whack a fun little lump in there, strip it out, white details on a black car, and have fun with it. Besides everyone thinks keep it original when they have a rare car. Sod that! If everyone else's is original, then what's wrong with making another a little different. Hence why I'm going silly turbo lump, eventually coil overs, and a road rally interior to rep my dads old metro c694mfv. Removing the bodykit, and just keeping the front and rear bumper, but with silly turbo power! Like my dads old one but faster!

Oh, and I love some of the older french cars, peugeots, citroens, and a fiat panda is an ace car. Prefer the oldest of the new shape and the original panda. Uno turbo, a seicento with a turbo would be fun too. Just not a fan of anything else fiat related... maybe an old 126 or panda. I like Ladas too. SO what does that say lol!

I have thought about it time and time again Nath, but wont the value drop ? Metros are worth bugger all anyway at the momnet so no point pouring money into something thats not worth much if stolen for example, insurance would never recover back even half the money i'd have spent, just a little worries thats all.

I've asked Lews on here what he paid to get his wheels banded anyway, still migth do bits nad bats ofcourse when money allows, don't get me wrong I do love this Metro Soooooo much, but thats front! it's just abit odd compared to the rest of the car :/.

Haha yeah the Lada's are good little motors, the 4x4 Lada Niva is the one to have ;) they still produce them new in it's native contry!, the russians must love them quite alot haha.
