So the update didn't come............but here is one!
Got the bumper finished, fitted and wired up and just finished pumping the rear up for tonight with the hydro pump, it's taken 2 hours to pump up the rears from flat (Small pump quantity, no joke it's tiny!!!)
Cheers,

Ace job on the bumper. Looks spot on. Maybe give the sides a quick splash of paint to make it even?
Retro Metros rule.

Thanks Nathan, i was thinking that, but then it'd probably peal because its crackle finish plastic and don't really want to rub that down, maybe i'l try some back to black in the summer months when it's dryer.
In other news, my old mans just got a Bentley (Posh git) so i'l be spending abit of time cleaning that up inside and out for a while.
Cheers,
Cliff

I thought he was a landrover man? Ace luxury barge choice though. I always wanted a blacked out xj6 when I can afford to insure one.
He was, but with us taking my grandma out every other weekend when we go up a range rover with 2ft of ground clearence isn't ideal
Just spent about 2 hr's doing the interior and an outside wash.

Been doing some work on the metro today, just taken the battery tray out to clean up behind and around it but also inspect the inner wings.
Havent any photos of that but a few days ago i bought some 3mm silver pin striping, yes i got rid of the red pinstripe, just wasn't happy that it wasn't original i guess.
So i went to peel off all the red pinstriping and guess what i found ?......the original silver pinstripes under them!!!! Grrr bought my for nothing i thought haha, but turns out its had two new front wings (or just repaired and re-painted , and theres overspray on the drivers door.
Alls i had to do then was redo the pinstripes on the front wings and wash it.
I like this last photo angle for some reason:
Hope everyone thinks it looks alot better now, just need to replace the drivers door pinstripe because of the overpray and it'll look smashing
Cheers,
Cliff

Don't sell it! When you get on the road you'll be glad you keep it! I sure am! Was gonna sell the GTA but after hooning about in it, I love it!
Silver pin stripe is much better.
Thanks Nath, and i agree, but money is tight having soo much to do and afford to do aswell, if i had a buyer for the Checkmate id sooner sell that but at the minute i think its worth doing up, painting the front at the very least and then selling.
