Tb's back on. have to see if i can shorten the rubber pipes that attaches the Tb's to the inlet stubs, so i can get a bit more room. just enough room at the moment tho for a narrow fitment pipercross filter

made a bit more progress with weekend. the manifold has been a bit of a buqqer. eventually had to lift the engine to get it on. also had to trim the front sunframe brace as well, which i'll reweld up to restore strength.

started to fabricate thr alternator bracket. went to my local hardware shop and got some 90degree brackets and some 2mm thick steel strip. it'll be tight for the alt but seems to go in with plenty of room to allow tensioning of the belt.

have decided to go with the mpi rad which i think will be ok

hi maph its miff, sounds like a double act ! have you thought of using a bigger radiator? i used an astra gte rad and it`s a lovely fit, also have you thought about moving the brake master to the other side of the car,(miffs mental mini pictures) just a suggestion, top build mate, 2l vauxhall the only way to go, MIFF.

have a got a corsa rad in the gargae but will stick with the mpi one for now (will be running water wetter/no antifreeze). can't ar$ed to move the master cylinder as i've got plenty of room - have sourced an ultra slim fit filter so no issues there.

they are a bit flimsy so will be adding extra fibreglass on the back. not a bad fit tho - could bash em on as is for a 95% satisfactory fit.

few recent photos i have taken - paint is still rough but engine is running but on a base map (over fuelling). the gear mechanism now selects all gears but the clutch pedal and cable need a bit on work as there is only just enough throw on the pedal to disengage the clutch
