Did you spray the pedal bush area and the clevis pin ? not the best thing to get out but check the rubber on the bottom of the master cylinder before you strip it, try oil as it from memory has a nylon bush in the pedal ?? and wd40 does wear off nylon

i sprayed it over the return spring? if i can get my hand up there do you reckon put some multipurpose grease around it? the master cylinder is brand new and the set up.the only thing i am using original is the pedal box. thanks tom

It will be the bush in the clutch pedal that's run dry of grease or a tiny mouse...

Got to be something which will soak in if its the pedal pivot unless your taking it apart

Im afraid its the big spring on the pedal, can you check if the noise is coming from the spring?

My god mine does this and it drives me nuts!
I spray it with 3 in 1 oil once a fortnight but it only last so long. Thing i'll have to try something thicker and try and work it in more
