Like the subframes,brakes,drivetrain?
Cant find a decent clubby estate so thinking of an austin or morris estate. Is it worth it?

I'm pretty sure the brakes, driveshafts etc don't fit the mini; I remember looking years ago into fitting the disk brakes and seemed to find they had differing hubs
they also have wet suspension so would doubt anything else will fit but I stand to be corrected

Outside the engine and box not much else is good for a swap over, I had a crashed 1300GT and bar the engine/box and the speedo/rev counter and switches i wanted the rest went in the crusher.

The 1100/1300 are a really smooth car to drive, I ran a 1300GT for several years before the tinworm got it.
The big problem with the 1100/1300 is that the spares situation is nowhere near as good as the Mini. Also you will be very lucky if you can get hold of a 1300 estate with really sound bodywork where it matters.
If you're looking for a car that you can use and maintain then I would go for a Mini Estate.

Yep, I'll agree with that. I learned to drive in one, my mum had it from new.
I've seen a few clean ones in Thailand when I've been working there, and there are a few left in the US.
A 1300GT is a nippy car, engine is a close to a 1275S engine as you can get if it isn't exactly the same.
Power output was just a little but lower but I'm sure that was down to the exhaust.

Are the driveshafts the same or brakes and other mechanical stuff?
The CV joints are the same as S/ disc brake minis. The hubs etc will not fit, but the splines on the cv joint are the same. The wheels have massive offset inwards and the PCD is completely different. The top ball joint is the same, but not the lower. The brakes on early ones would be hard to find spares for. Only 2 cars used them 1100s and Saab 96s. The calipers changed on later ones. But to find a non rusty 1100 , a car renowned for inhabitation of the tin worm. Oh the happy days of trying to fit inner wing trumpets on an 1100

At least you won't need to worry so much about rust with a Reliant...

No, there's enough problems before you need to worry about the rust.

...the PCD is completely different.
The PCD is exactly the same as a Mini.

Last time I checked there was no way 1100/1300 wheels would fit onto Mini hubs.
1100/1300 have a different PCD, and different wheel stud diameter.

And I think your are right - mini is 4" PCD whereas 1100 are 4.5" PCD if my memory serves me right.
