Bit late but what with the tax discs being abolished, don't suppose you have a 4th of jan 86 do you?

I will see what I can do, just because there won't be tax discs from late next year, doesn't mean you shouldn't display one that matches your car for show use!

Do you think it would be legal to have a display one permanently on show when the new rules come in? Wouldnt mind having a 1972 one in mine all the time

I can't see any reason why not. I guess it's like having a sticker in the window. I wouldn't be surprised if the rules changed though, i.e. Nothing is allowed on the windscreen apart from disability badges, etc.
Yeah I can see that happening. At the moment anything inside the wipers field of wipe is illegal. They'll probably make it so that anything other than the mirror is illegal on the windscreen.

excellent idea and service fred ,thanks
just a note for those getting these ,you do not want one day the month your car was first registered , but 6 or 12 months later as that is what the tax disc displayed would have been on the car ,otherwise the car tax would expire the month the car was registered LOL
so in that case mine was registered 14/03/1979 so do you have one ending the end of aug 1979
regards dav

On me phone at the mo, will do the requests when I get back to a proper computer. Good point about displaying a copy of what would be the first tax disc for your car, I think I might do that myself! So much better that just leaving it's last ever tax disc in place. One thing though, be careful not to get normally printed tax discs wet, the ink runs.
