I still think its something to do with wheel bearings

you also said this yourself, which is a typical symptom:

 

It only seems to happen under light braking, if I press the pedal harder, it's fine, plenty of braking and nice and straight, but under light braking, like gently slowing down for a junction or whatever under normal driving, the wheel really vibrates.

I'll have to check them then, have had the cone washers off a few times while doing discs.

 

After a bit more experimenting yesterday, it will do it under firm braking as well, but it's more often when just light braking from medium sort of speeds.
