Mini is 1981 with the yellow tag dual brakes master cylinder.

I have read the instructions

http://www.mossmotor...PDF/386-868.pdf

1. The 44/45mm eaziblled plastic cap which fits to the resevoir has different sized seals.

instructions advise For 44mm use thin seal/For 45mm use thick seal

anyone know the correct seal/s to use for my mini?

2. After pressure testing with just air, and before I connect up the eezibleed, what level do I  fill up the master cylinder  revesevoir to .....I am curious to know what happens to any air gap in the resevoir.

3. Ok to use 20psi? I have already cable tied the resevoir to the cylinder

4. How much fluid will I typically need to use for a full bleed?

Any other tips appreciated  :-)

^^^Thanks for the reply

I had to start by sorting out a leaking eezibleed unit  :( (aquired secondhand albeit 10 year old)

I started by dry testing the unit and found leaks at the eezibleed cap. This was due to the hoses which had been in contact with the brake fluid  had stiffened up and lost the ability to seal in the cap. I had to replace the entire section of hose between the eezibleed and resevoir and chop a couple of inches off the tyre feed hose. As each hose enters the cap there is a metal split collet which is inserted into the end of the tube and pulled up into place to form a tight seal.

As a precaution I cable tied the resevoir to master cylinder in 2 places.

I used my 10 inch spare tyre set to 20psi.

I was very  impressed with how easy the eeziblled worked and had the whole car bled within the hour :-)

One thing I noted is that the eezibleed will leave the fluid level in the master cylinder to the very top of the resevoir but this was easily sorted with a syringe.

So thanks for the eezibleed recomendations in my other thread....Next stop will be bleeding the clutch slave cylinder  :gimme:
