That's a nice project, love the clubman, sadly my wife doesn't share my view so guess I'll never have one - have to make do with my Mk1

You dont like the wheels!? I don't think I've ever come across someone who didn't like GKN silverstones on a GT!
And I do like the interior combination, I also have the door cards matched to the rear bench.
Thanks surfblue, I'll just have to take your quota of clubmans instead.

I have to agree. It's a lovely 1275 in a smart colour and well done for saving her, but those tyres

She looks good mate. especially that interior. I do like those wheels - I wouldn't mind a set, but very unlikely in my country.

It's certainly been a journey trying to find a set! Now I'm finding the wheel nuts are just as hard to source.
The interior is such a nice place to be, I do love the early 1275 GT vinyl and goes very nicely with the cobra classics.
No pictures I'm afraid, but spent the whole day yesterday replacing knackered oil seals. I was fed up of leaving puddles wherever i went so new pot joint seals and it now doesn't leave a trace! While i was tinkering a friend lent me a timing strobe light so I thought I'd set that properly as well. That combined with a new carb needle and I know have fuel efficiency and far to much power. The engine is a complete unknown to me, The engine number is still present and points me to a High compression A+, non MG block. But it seems to have far to much poke for a standard motor. It had standard sized bores, and when i pulled the head I didn't measure the valves. I thoroughly cleaned and decoked the head and block, and the bores where beautiful. Maybe this is just what a decent low mileage motor feels like!
It'll quite happily dust my friends 1.8l audi A4.

Love the wheels! Not so sure about the current tyres......
Also loving the seat combo - I'm going to have to swap out my front seats for something that doesn't kill my back at some point - they look ace.
AND YOU'VE GOT CHROME EYEBALL VENTS! Fancy a swap? - I'm after a set :)

I went through similar pain finding nuts for my 10" Silverstones (which use different nuts to the 12" ones!). Ended getting something close and then having sleeves made up for the holes in the wheels.

I was waiting for someone to pick up on my chrome vents! Sadly they're pretty faded, and you only really notice the chrome when you angle them. I'd love to help you out, but they're original to the car.
I have the dimensions for the wheel nuts if you want to get some made?

Hi there, thanks for the offer, but I've got the nuts as a reference. My problem is 2 sets of wheels but only 1 set of nuts! I have yet to find anyone who's willing to make them for me, so when i get a chance I'm gunna have a go at making my own on a lathe.
I'd love to see some pictures of your 10's, I very nearly bought the ones that came up on ebay a few months back.

Thankyou :) They do give it real stance, and kind of finish off the rough and ready rally look the car has at the moment! I've got a lot of ST and period stickers to go on her next!

I think some nuts that work would be easy to make out of some stainless 11/16" hex bar
