Good work again! Block (& new head of course!) looks really good! Are you going to rebuild the old head?

keith

Thankyou keith :) Im going to take it to jonspeed (really liked the work they did) and they can determine if it's a doorstop or not. It's always good to have a spare head :)

That should do the trick. I do miss the frost out here in SA, summer doesn't do it for me.

Hopefully! :) I do love a good crisp morning. Well I do apart from the fear of her not starting!

Thankyou :) I absolutely love it too, cost me a fortune though!

So a few weeks back I put up a pic of an original interior I sourced. Well I have to admit they're so comfy I had them cleaned (by my dad) and they're now in the car. Im still not sure on the look. But they are what the car came with! The originality police will be slightly less pissed off with my car now haha.

Where the drivers seat was ripped I haven't cleaned, but I have had it stiched up. So hopefully i can now get that section as clean as the rest! The passenger seat came up amazingly! As did the rear bench. I couldn't belive what was hiding under the filth!

Just need a set of original door cards now!

Do you want to sell the door cards you currently have? They look like early Clubman ones, correct for my Clubby - if you have the rears too I would be interested! What colour are they?

Sadly they're just the black fronts, and some idiot has screwed them for later door handles. So I can't imagine they'd suit your immaculate build! I am looking at replacing them for correct ones for my car though.
I'd always intended on swapping them for early black GT cards to match the rear bench. But I've had a change of heart.

Ah bugger, black ones are what Im after too - if you have any early Clubman black seats I would be interested though! Always loved your car too, and of course the wheels!

Thankyou :) If they where any good I'd let you have them! Likewise with yours! It's what I intend to do with my white clubman, but a bit more GT inspired. Sadly all the stuff out of my early clubman is navy, good look with your search though!

What's that weird looking 4 door rally (?) Mini in the pics in the listing? New one on me... (good idea for getting the spare wheel out of the back behind the roll cage if you can't get one in the boot, although it's a bit extreme if it was done just for that!)

I'm sure I've got one of those tucked away, but I couldn't decide where to put it!

That is a strange one! I've never seen that before!

So it was with regret a few weeks ago that I've retired the GT from active service.

Over the christmas break I was going through what routine maintenance was required.

I went hunting as it had been especially skittish in the cold weather. To which my dad pointed out my rear tires where completely bold! (The fronts still have approx 5-6mm) So something is drastically wrong with my rear alignment. In all honesty that was the final straw as I really didn't want to have to fix the rear suspension and re-tyre it.

I'm too selfish to sell it, so I'm going to sit on it until I get the time to pull it apart and completely re-do it! I'm thinking Astral Blue with a silver roof. (It's currently the 3rd mini in line for this service so I wouldn't expect anything soon I'm afraid!)

But something to look forward too!

I'm now driving round in something newish and german, it's quite the shock to the system!

I did at least treat her to a good wash before I left!
